Strengths: Excellent intro for me to the world of dvd et al. Versatile player of mp3, aiff, wma & jpeg cd's (including mixed formats) as well as video dvd's. VCR works fine too, although audio output seems low?
Weaknesses: In general, audio seems weak; need to set its volume to max and aux units to higher than usual
Summary: 2004-08-31 10:25:33 Website is great, lots of good info in FAQ's. A "must do" is the firmware upgrade - performance is noticably improved. Live customer support was sporadic for me: first time seemed like I woke up the guy and two weeks later I got the wrong! update disk; second time, got a sharp guy and the correct ! disk came over the weekend - but, I had to do a disk copy on my burner to finally get the update to play / work?! (BTW, I originally tried to get the update disk via email, but that simply generated a generic, unrelated reply of "if this, then that" FAQ's)

Strengths: great price for progressive scan dvd and vcr combo, good pic. and sound
Weaknesses: have not seen any yet
Summary: great for a first progressive scan dvd / vcr player combo .... great picture and sound ..... and no one can beat the price of around $ 50

Strengths: It is very easy to use DVD & VCR combo unit. Two in One setting. Consolidated full control on the remote control including TV functions such as volume & channel control.
Weaknesses: I have not found one yet.
Summary: It is overall nice player to own. One connection cable for both DVD and VCR. One touch recording is a great feature.

I am pleased with the performance .

3 Star ReviewOverall nice player to own.Having the VCD/SVCD pla ...
Strengths: Good player.nice to have all features in one player.multifunctional remote takes the hassel out of many remotes.
Weaknesses: Cannot play VCD/SVCD.would have made a great all over player
