Strengths: Ultrasonic technology; brush head much more comfortable than the A-series
Weaknesses: 2-4 times more expensive than a regular toothbrush; bottom of brush collects mildew-like substance if it isn't cleaned and dried regularly
Summary: It's a steep price to pay, but you definitely get your money's worth as far as clean teeth and gums are concerned. For around $10 to 15 a brush head (on top of a $50 rechargeable brush handle, you get 3 months of ultrasonic clean teeth. And while some people may be able to squeeze out a few extra months of usage out of each bristle, the cleaning power of a beat-up brush is definitely weaker than that of a fresh one.
The new E-Series brushes ("E" is for "Elite") are far smaller and more comfortable in the mouth. The fit is just right compared to the even smaller compact heads, as you should be able to get into any spot in your adult mouth pretty easily. Children may want to consider the compact brush heads.

Strengths: efficiency
Weaknesses: Maintenance instructions
Summary: First of all, replace the brush heads on time. I delayed the replacing one time and found a big difference between the old head and the new head. The old head may not work well in cleaning you teeth while you are not aware of this. The heads are as good as the one in the brush package. However, they need maintenance weekly to be taken off the handle and be cleaned inside. The instructions didn't mention it but after twisting off the handle, you need to press down rod of the head to take apart the head into two pieces. This way you can clean the head thoroughly, otherwise not.

Essential for anyone with a Sonicare Elite
Strengths: Cleans teeth well, bristles are just the right firmness
Weaknesses: Hard to clean, inside parts are almost always moldy.
Summary: I have been using my Sonicare Elite toothbrush for almost 2 years now, and absolutely love it. These brush heads hold up pretty well considering my usage twice a day. The bristles are of medium firmness, but I believe you can order them in a softer firmness. Since using the Sonicare toothbrush, I have not had any calcium buildup on my teeth. This I'm thankful for as it avoids me having to go through another deep cleaning with my dental hygienist. What I don't like is how the inside of the part that attaches to the handle gets moldy. Despite my efforts to keep it dry (I disassemble everything after each use), there is still a small amount of mold to be seen. I do swish it around in a diluted bleach mixture every other week to keep the mold at bay. That said, the moldy part is always hidden inside the contraption, so as long as it does not touch my mouth I am OK with it. These replacement heads are available in many retail stores, although I was able to shop around and get a better deal on-line. They are quite pricey - a pack of two replacement heads cost around $20-$25, while a brand new set of two Sonicare toothbrushes with heads cost me around $100. Sometimes I wonder if I should just reinvest in a new set, but so long as my handle still holds a charge I see no point in doing so.

Cannot ever go back to manual kind any more.

Strengths: helps to clean stains easier and faster
Weaknesses: /
Summary: I have been using this brush head for 2 weeks already. It is great. Comparing to the other brands I had used before, Sonicare has the best brush head that will make your teeth most presentable at all time. I recommend this to everyone who uses a toothbrush to use this brand's product. Although it's quite expensive, you will find it worthwhile after you start using it.

Strengths: Brush angle, clean teeth and healthy gums
Weaknesses: None
Summary: My dentist recommended a Sonicare unit and I added to my wishlist for that year. It has been wonders to my teeth & gums and my dentist could see a difference. The angle of the brush helps me reach those problematic areas and the timer on the elite unit is helpful to fully complete my two minutes.

Strengths: Works just like the original
Weaknesses: None
Summary: These replacement heads are made by the manufacturer, so they work just like the original. There are no aftermarket choices, so you have to buy the Sonicare brand. The Sonicare toothbrush does a great job, so it is worth the price.

Strengths: durable, need it for a sonicare, obviously
Weaknesses: price
Summary: Sonicare is a great brushing experience. You need brush heads to brush your teeth. Hence you need these brushes. I love the size of these brush heads, they fight just right. The angle on the end is nice as well. Although they are pricey, these heads seem to last about twice as long as a normal toothbrush, with sort of makes up for it. What else are you going to do, go back to a normal toothbrush?

Strengths: Replacement brush heads as good as the original
Weaknesses: Slightly pricey but still worth the investment
Summary: I am using the sonicare brushes on the recommendation of my dentist and was sceptical of replacing the brush heads every 6 months. Well after using the replacement head I could feel a difference from the old one. It felt very fresh after brushing with the new head. They fit perfectly well on my sonicare brush. These brush heads clean/polish your teeth gently. The only con: they are expensive compared to regular brush but it is the price you pay for dental hygiene.

Strengths: cleans well, good quality
Weaknesses: cost
Summary: The brush doesn't get worn out quickly, but I regularly replace it every 6 month, and feel like I am using a new one everytime. Although it is somewhat expensive, healthier teeth are my rewards!
