Good computer but has a few quirks!
Strengths: Programs run quick and efficiently, everything worked right out of the box, easily and with no additional setup, just turn it on and it is ready to go. Sleak in appearance with no bells and whistles.
Weaknesses: The touchpad is overly sensitive and while using it for the internet, it seems to go places you don't tell it to go.The wireless card seems a little weak.
Summary: I have not used another notebook before this one so I don't have much to compare it to. The Tecra A8 is straightforward and seems made for the business user or the employee, not for gaming, although the graphics are good and fast. Battery life seems a bit short but I guess that's the way it goes on most notebooks unless you purchase a battery upgrade. The core duo processors seem to work nice and quick, I use three programs at a time no problem, and photoshop runs well. I have yet to put it to any grueling tests but it is good for what I need it for.
