 2 Smelly Units in a Row Strengths: instant hot water
Weaknesses: Smelly water after more than a year's use
Summary: We installed the In-Sink-Erator when we installed our water softner system, and drink filtration system. We were happy with the In-Sink-Erator we got, as we could have instant hot water. After almost a year's use, the water from the dispenser turned yellowish, and the water has a milky smell... after that the unit starts leaking from the bottom. We contacted the company to report the problem, the company said the smell might come from the heating elements inside, they sent us a new unit to replace the leaking one. We are using the 2nd units almost two years now, the milky small comes back, the smell is quite strong, we dare not to drink water from the spenser anymore. I am shopping for another brand.
