3 Star ReviewPretty good if it does what you want
Strengths: - Large and bright screeen - recent maps - quick GPS fix
Weaknesses: - no European maps - no text to speech - only two view modes - weak tech support
Summary: This is pretty good. It's a LOT better than last year's model, the icn-550, which this replaces (how did they figure out this numbering scheme?). Just about everything is via the touch screen, which is fine -- the 3.5" screen is pretty sensitive and easy to read. The unit is Windows CE-based, but you don't get any PDA functions. Builtin CF card contains all the us/Canada maps, and there's an SD slot where you could, in theory, put other maps. As of the time of this review, there are no other maps, because Navman hasn't gotten around to packaging their European (or Australia/New Zealand) maps for this unit. You choose between a 3d view where your car's direction is toward the top of the screen or a 2-d North-up view. I'd have liked a 2-d car-up view. Also missing: Doesn't speak out street name (minor, IMO) and doesn't tell you if your destination is going to be on your right or left (more annoying). Also, tech support was relatively easy to reach, but quite clueless.

Strengths: Small, portable, handheld, usb, 4 cd's if maps 2006, bright display and easy to follow on screen. 2GB of internal memory to story maps and points of interest.
Weaknesses: not noticeable. I wish for more maps for Asian and European countries
Summary: It is an easy to follow interface with an impressive outer design. The package comes with more than pictured above. This kit comes with a great car holder for either dash or window mount. (window via large suction cup). 4 cd's for the US/Canada version, USB cable, car charge/power cable via USB, lens cleaning cloth, wireless remote control for unit and a nice case to carry the unit when not in use. It's highly recommended

Strengths: Sleek, portable, good antenna reception, accurate directions (CT,NY), nice screen, auto adjustment for intensity, day/night sky display, suction cup mount, dedicated POI, Gas button, xtra SD card slot
Weaknesses: Functional - Text to speech (does not say street names) Aesthetic - Only available in black
Summary: Overall, Highly recommended.

Needs charging out of the box to startup. (not a big deal)

Took a few mins to acquire GPS triangulation inside the house. (Good antenna)

Showed my house off by a few hundred feet further up on the street, which is probably not the unit's fault, since Google Map, Yahoo Map, and Mapquest show the same difference.

Unit completely charged under an hour, and worked for more than 4 hrs in the car.

Test drive of 60 miles from CT to NY, as per GPS calculated route in the afternoon(Good instructions)

Test drive of 60 miles from NY to CT, purposely taking another route, the units Back-On-Track feature worked perfectly. was fun too.. since it was night time.

The suction mount allows to place the unit under the rear view mirror, and can be transferred to another car. The headphone outlet can be connected to a cassette adapter to connect to the car stereo system to increase the unit's volume many folds.. good for those travelling with younger kids.

WishList - love to see this unit in more colors, instead of just black, and also a metallic body (silver, etc)

Salesmanship - My next door neighbor loved it so much, he asked me to order one for him too.... will Navman give me a commission on the sale ?? :)

Strengths: Always right on target
Weaknesses: Nothing really to complain about
Summary: This was my first gps unit and I don't know how I did without it. Except for my house being off by a few yards ever place I need to find is on target 100%. It is relatively fast at accessing and the voice directions are always perfect. Re-aquiring directions is almosts immediate also. All in all I am very happy with this unit and would highly recommend it.
