Strengths: Very nice case and stand. Display is excellent for graphics work, good resolution and brightness. Three year warranty.
Weaknesses: Price is a bit steep.
Summary: HP has put out another excellent monitor for graphics work that is backed for business users with a 3 year warranty. The quality and finish complement the HP Workstations. It works equally well on the new MacPro Xeon based desktops.

Strengths: Great Resolution, color, price and design.
Weaknesses: haven't found any.... for real!
Summary: i was considering getting the apple cinema display (23 inch) and than i heard about this monitors and thought that it is a much better deal.

the monitor looks great, one inch bigger than the apple one, and look just as good.

definitely the best deal in the market for this size of monitor.

Strengths: Great picture, color, response, design.
Weaknesses: Not for those who may have eye problems since native resolution is 1200 X 1960.
Summary: Easy out of the box setup – great picture after adjusting the brightness down to 5 & contrast to 10! No dead pixels. Video & stills look outstanding! This monitor is built with quality in mind. Clean, modern silver bezel. Adjustable stand is very robust – easy to move up & down. Monitor looks great with new MacPro Quad Intel. A bit expensive, but worth it when spending 6 - 8 hours a day using it. Hundreds less than Apple Cinema display. Spent 6 months researching monitors. This one won over Dell.

Strengths: Great picture, very bright, nice colors with great response times. Solid, but flexible and easily adjustable stand. Two inputs to switch from, as well as multiple USB connectors.
Weaknesses: None - so far. I just love this monitor, and haven't discovered any weakness
Summary: I'm very happy with this purchase. I love the size and picture, and wouldn't hesitate to get this monitor again. It completely fulfilled my expectations on picture quality, size and possible adjustments. The monitor has a nice stand, which can be easily adjusted multiple ways. You can even turn the monitor 90 degress.

It came with two DVI connector cables and two USB cables, as well as the power cord.

I would highly recommend this good looking package for anybody.

Strengths: Great picture, nice looks, 2 DVI ports with button to switch between inputs, customizable on screen menu
Weaknesses: Lack of inputs
Summary: I hooked this monitor up to a new Mac Pro with an ATI X1900 XT video card via one of the DVI ports. No dead pixels on the unit I received. Out of the box picture quality was very good. I haven't seen any ghosting so far. Backlighting is nice and even. The looks are simple, but nice. The bezel bordering the screen is a little under an inch wide. The monitor came with 2 DVI cables and with a VGA adapter cable (DVI on the monitor end, VGA on the video card end). It also came with a USB cable and power cable.

The major difference between this monitor and the Dell 2407 is that the Dell has more inputs (S-Video, Component, etc.) and is HDCP enabled. But the HP is about $50 cheaper (after the $40 rebate) even with a 15% Dell sale.

The only advantage of the HP (other than price) is that it has 2 DVI inputs and allows switching between the inputs via a button on the monitor. This feature came in handy when I had both my old and new desktop hooked up to the monitor at the same time while I was transferring data between the two computers.

All told, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Strengths: Very, very Bright, good viewing angle, good response time, and excellent color reproduction
Weaknesses: image stutter, but resolved with HP
Summary: I did a lot of research to find a affordable and performance friendly 24" lcd. I settled on either the dell 2407fpw or the HP LP2465. After reading the horror stories about the 2407 from dell and its banding and overdrive issues, i decided to go with the HP which uses the exact same panel, but had been pretty much un reviewed. upon receiving the lcd i was immediately impressed. The amount of brightness on stock settings which i found to be only 50% of the displays dial is ridiculous, i had to turn it down to 38 to reach a comfortable level, but its good to know that it has the power . Then i went to adjust the color accuracy and found it to be spot on. This is all compared to my previous monitor the dell 2001FP. I fired up a pixel analyzer test for testing response rate, while the response rate is great even better than my old 2001FP, I noticed that fast moving objects did not appear smooth moving, there was an apparent hitch or stuttering effect. I fired up some dvd movies and games to see if i could reproduce the result, and to be honest i couldn't see it in normal activities even when i was looking for it. But being a little unhappy with a 700 dollar screen i decided to call up HP, they sent me a replacement via 2 day mail without a question. The replacement has completely fixed the stuttering issue, not sure what has been changed.

Overall i have to say this has been quite an upgrade and love the looks and performance of this screen, albeit the small problem which has been corrected

Strengths: High quality S-PVA panel, very good color reproduction and viewing angles, two DVI inputs, 3-year warranty
Weaknesses: No HDMI or composite inputs, no HDCP, a bit expensive (but you get what you pay for)
Summary: The HP LP2465 is a great quality 24-inch LCD monitor. Picture is bright and colors are very good out of the box. Text is sharp using DVI or the analog VGA connections. There is a big price jump from 22-inch monitors but 24-inch monitors have a higher DPI (dots-per-inch) with their native 1920x1200 resolution.

Most cheaper monitors have a different panel (usually TN which are cheaper to make). The HP LP2465, however uses a S-PVA panel which better color reproduction and wider viewing angles than TN panel. The downside is comparatively slower response times, but ghosting wasn't noticeable during gaming.

Overall, the HP LP2465 is a great monitor. While it is pricey, you get what you pay for. The biggest flaw is there are no HDMI or composite inputs, which really is a shame because this monitor would great as an HDTV for a PS3, XBox.
