Summary: This carseat has great cushioning with the EPS foam. I've had 5 kids and this carseat is by far the easiest to install and the easiest to use. Though I cannot comment on latch installations, that looks easy too! This seat snaps into the base with a definite click, so there is no doubt its secured. I love how the cover snaps to the body of the seat so there is no shifting and the canopy is the BEST, I've ever seen. The bottom of the canopy snaps to the seat so it doesn't fall back behind and interfere with placing the carseat into the base. There is no cheap elastic anywhere on this canopy or cover! There is no need to ever rethread the harness as it adjusts from the back. Getting the right recline angle is a cinch as there is an adjustable dial on the back of the base that does the work for you. This carseat also comes with an all-weather boot which I was unaware of when I purchased. Though I have yet to use the boot, it is very easy to install with just two snaps. This carseat also has a cushioned carry-handle and compared to other carseats this one feels a little lighter. The base is heavier than most but it stays in the car, so it doesn't really matter. One of my favorite features about this seat is the lockoff built into the base. I hate trying to install locking clips as I have very small hands and find it difficult. Though the lockoff lever is not easy to release(and you wouldn't want it to be) using it is much easier than installing a locking clip. You cannot install this carseat without the base, but I never do that with an infant seat, so it won't lower my rating. Also, where the photo looks white in the Fuoco color, it is actually a light grey. Overall, I'm giving this carseat 5 stars. I am a picky Mom and though I haven't owned it long, I just cannot find anything to complain about. I highly recommend it and when I need a new seat for one of my growing children, I'll definitely be keeping Compass in mind.
