Strengths: My family has fun using the waffle maker and clean up is easy. The waffles taste great too. I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in making something at home from simple ingredients.
Weaknesses: The classic belgium waffle recipe takes at least an hour to prepare. Sometimes the waffle isn't fully cooked when the waffle maker beeps to indicate it's fully cooked.
Summary: I love having a big breakfast on the weekends with my family. Going out to eat is fun, but preparing breakfast at home with my family makes good food and great memories too. The Waring Pro is so simple to use that everyone can make their own waffle. It feels and looks like a professional appliance. The deep pockets in the waffle are perfect for sliced strawberries or chopped nuts, but the waffle comes out so hot and fresh that it tastes great just by itself. I used to have pancakes with my bacon and eggs for breakfast. Sometimes the pancakes were good but most of the time the pancakes were overcooked or flat. With the Waring Pro waffle maker, I feel like I can't mess up breakfast anymore. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes to take the time to enjoy a homemade breakfast.

Strengths: Easy to use - Perfect waffles every time
Weaknesses: The only thing it doesn't do is make the batter for you!
Summary: Ever since I visited a hotel in May of 2005, which was using one of the Waring Pro Belgian Waffle Makers, I have wanted one! Recently, QVC Shopping Club had one for sale. I researched the Internet to see who had the best bargin, and purchased one from PriceGrabber. I received it today, and could hardly wait to get it in action (I had my waffle mix in hand)!
The Waffles were so light and moist, and browned just right too! The Browning adjustment is great - I like my waffles light, while my "better half" likes them darker - it takes no extra time to please everyone!
The ease of making the waffles and removing them from the waffle iron is amazing! If I wasn't such a messy cook the clean-up would be a snap too (it takes me an extra few minutes to scrub the counter)!
When I tell my friend, who was with me at that hotel last May, that I have a Waring Pro Belgian Waffle Maker, she'll be ordering one too!

Strengths: Makes fantastic diner style Belgian Waffles. Easy to clean and has timer.
Weaknesses: Bulky unit. Not easy for storage. More money than other waffle irons.
Summary: I like to cook breakfast for the family and have been cooking pancakes and staying away from waffles since all the waffle irons I have used don't work too well. The batter gets stuck and the waffles don't come out well. But when on vacation this summer I saw this unit during an breakfast buffet it seemed perfect. I price around and for about $80 you can get a great Diner Style Belgian Waffle. The batter recipe in the manual is perfect and the waffles come out perfect every time. (Make sure your yeast is fresh or add extra.) I recommend this unit highly!

Strengths: Easy to use. Very safe design (handles don't get hot)
Weaknesses: A little large to store, but not too bad.
Summary: We purchased this Belgian Waffler because we thought it would be fun to do a breakfast themed dinner party with a large group. We experimented the week before with a box mix and homemade mix on different settings and found that for the box mix 4.5-5 resulted in a good crisp waffle. On the day of the party, we mixed up a bunch of batter beforehand (used Krusteaz) and let people do their own. When people followed the instructions we posted next to the waffler, all went well with a few spillovers (but these went into the drip pan so it wasn't too bad). We provided fresh berry compotes and whipped cream to top them off. The kids really enjoyed this. We also added cocoa and chocolate chips to one batch of batter for chocolate waffles and it turned out well too. It's also fun to mix in some coconut or other nuts (we did macadamias). Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with it. We figured that in the few weeks that we've had it, we made about 50 waffles so it has paid for itself already. We had leftover batter so we made up a bunch and froze them - haven't tried them yet to see how they are after defrosting. We had debated getting the cheaper model but decided on this because of the professional design. We knew that children (and careless adults) might be using it so we wanted something relatively foolproof and safe - this was one of the few wafflers that reviewers did not say that it was easy to get burned. We are definitely happy with our purchase and would recommend this product to others.

Strengths: It's a beautiful appliance and works very well, giving your waffles a soft middle and a crispy crust.
Weaknesses: The only thing I dislike about this product- that you should know before purchasing it is that it is quite large. If you don't have a lot of space, I would think twice about getting it.
Summary: I love everything about this waffle iron except the fact that it is so large. But it does look nice sitting on my kitchen counter. It most definately makes the best waffles I have ever had!

Strengths: Very easy to use. Makes delicious waffles. Cleans up quickly. Foolproof.
Weaknesses: Takes up a lot of counter space. Included recipe because of yeast takes quite a bit of time, but mixes work well.
Summary: Having used a similar waffle maker at a hotel breakfast bar, I was eager to purchase one myself. The kids love using this and we've more than recouped our original investment in the money we've saved eating in. The Waring Waffle maker makes 1-inch thick, restaurant-style Belgian waffles. The included measuring cups ensures the proper amount of batter is added. I can't say enough good things about this waffle maker.

Strengths: Cooks well every time.
Weaknesses: Wish it could toast more
Summary: This is by far one of the best waffle maker in the market at it's price catagory. It is comparable to the professional models used in hotels and restaurants. I've seen similar units in hotels as well as buffet restaurants. Never had any problem with it and have perfect waffles every time. One thing I did wish was it could toast more. Even after having it set to high, it still can be toasted more, still kind of light. Only remedy would be leave it there after it beeps or have it toast in a toaster.

Strengths: Perfect waffles
Weaknesses: trying to perfect recipe within book
Summary: 2005-07-24 07:22:11 received waffle maker within the week. Although i'm still trying to perfect the recipe within the book i'm very happy with the other waffle mixes I have tried. The waffles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and this waffle maker is the best I have used.

WaringPro Belgian Waffle Maker
Strengths: Makes the perfect waffle!
Weaknesses: Does not last!
Summary: We have now had two in a year. The first one just stopped working. No lights, no heat. The second one is similar. I was making waffles this weekend, and it stopped heating. Light is on, but no heat. This is very frustrating! I also bought it at a store that went out of business, so not sure if I can get it covered. Will call Waring.

Awful reliability
Strengths: Made great waffles.
Weaknesses: First one shocked us when we touched the base. Second one Broke within one month. Third one shocked us when we touched the base. We give up.
Summary: Beware the defective waffle iron. two out of three gave shock to user when they touched the base. one out of three did not last more than one month. Reliability is awful.

Strengths: Well designed and constructed. Easy to use and clean. Makes it simple to make a uniform, well baked, waffle.
Weaknesses: The unit has a large foot print and takes up quite a bit of space when stored on a counter.
Summary: This unit quickly bakes a perfect, uniform waffle. It is very simple to use. It works as well as the commercial units I have used in hotel breakfast buffet lines.
This attractive waffle maker is well designed and constructed. It is easy to keep clean.
I found no negatives in the design or performance of this waffle maker. The rotating waffle iron design makes the unit larger than a typical household waffle maker, and if you have crowded counters or limited storage space you may find this undesirable.
