Strengths: Great looks!, lots of features, great sound, affordable price.
Weaknesses: Buttons do not change color, no dimming screen. CD's take a little time to load.
Summary: I have this head unit hooked up to a pair of 5 year old (at least!) pioneer speakers, and they sound really good! This head unit gives out PLENTY of power to your speakers as long as you don't have a sub. I am rethinking the amp and new speakers i just ordered now that I hear my old speakers! The intructions are good, the motorized face is really cool! The only weaknesses I have listed are that the buttons do not change color, and no dimming screen, but for about 50$ more you can get that with the 9831, so what to complain about? I love the look of this screen, especially at night. Also the CD's do take a little time to load, not like 5 minutes, but a good 10 seconds, to some people it matters. Anyway, I would highly reccommend this head unit to anyone looking for more power, and more music shaping flexibility than their factory head unit.
