I've tried the generic inks and always go back to the manufacturer's product. Keep in mind that the ink dries up and clogs if you don't use it regularly, luckily with kids printing out projects for school it isn't much of a concern but during the summer you may want to print a test page every couple of weeks. Summary: Kind of locked in on this one, as it's a printer cartridge that I have to buy. I've never bought third party cartridges, so I can't compare.
