Strengths: up to 85% efficiency, silent, protects against many circuit faults, got great reviews, MTBF (mean time between failures) of over 400,000 hours, supports SLI, sleeved cables, pretty metallic shine
Weaknesses: not modular, so you'll likely have several unused power cables that take up a lot of space in your case (I managed to stick them in an unused drive bay).
Summary: High power efficiency saves you money over the long run, as less power is used by your PC as less electricity is wasted as heat.
Has as light to alert you of any circuit faults (over-voltage, short circuit, etc.), though it's only visible on the back of your case. Some sort of front panel display would be much easy to keep an eye on.
The fan takes in air from bottom of unit and blows it out the back.
I don't know why this unit has been discontinued...
