Strengths: Eliminates most background noise, adjusts bass voices and soft voices for better audibiity, 75% volume increase option, small and easy to use.
Weaknesses: Used on MP3 and CD players, it's fine for the price, but don't expect miracles.
Summary: I've used this equalizer in my home business for several months with my dictaphone equipment for transcribing cassettes and digital downloads. I couldn't recommend it more highly for eliminating buzzing and hiss, and for adjusting bass and treble for deep voices. The capability for 75% volume increase is great, too, for soft voices. For CDs and MP3s, it works about as well as the price indicates -- if you want a GREAT equalizer for music, shop around and pay a lot more.
