Strengths: Fast, good quality espresso. Frother works well but is positioned a little too low. Built-in tamper
Weaknesses: Frother is too low.
Summary: I got this machine for Christmas to replace a steam driven model. Compared to the steam driven it is much faster and makes much better quality espresso. The milk frother is also fast and easy to use. Overall it is a good entry level espresso maker.

Strengths: Easy to use, great espresso
Weaknesses: Only espresso cups shorter than 2.5" will fit
Summary: Great machine for the price. It is virtually impossible to make bad espresso with this machine assuming you stop the flow of espresso at the right time (prior to it looking like water is coming out). Reading reviews from other web sites, people complined about the frother, however, this frother works much better than the steam driven DeLonghi frother that I used to use. Biggest disadvantage is the fact that you need to use a shot glass to collect the espresso due to the short distance from where the espresso comes out of the machine and the machine base

Strengths: Great espresso taste Easy to make super steam milk/froth Fast to brew and easy to clean up
Weaknesses: Have to screw frother on/off every time...a little time-consuming but not a big problem
Summary: I am very happy with this purchase. Have always had a Krups unit, but

this is much better and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

it to anyone who wants to save money by making a great latte or cappucinno

on your own.

Strengths: Good value. Easy to operate. No major problems encountered. Produces quality espresso w/ crema
Weaknesses: Takes a little extra time to get super-hot water. Have to use a bit of force to ensure filter handle is firmly attached.
Summary: This machine is a great value. Based on user opinions, I selected this over the Capresso classic. I've been using for a bit less than a week and am pleased with the performance. Using Illy med. roast espresso coffee, I produce perfect espresso, with crema, every time. Yeah! I checked several models and selected this one based on user opinion and it's good value. ie less than $150. I ran the unit several times with clear water to clean out the lines and to familiarize myself with how the unit worked. The instructions can be a little clearer, but are sufficient. After getting the water to the right temp, green light, I let it sit and the water seems to get a bit hotter. I am concerned about if the filter handle is firmly attached but don't want to over-torque the assembly. Espresso was very nice, not too bitter. Watch out for the warming top, it can get hot. I haven't tried the frothing attachment yet. I guess I need to get a frothing pitcher or something like it. Black and silver styling is par for the course. Not real heavy. I have previously purchased a Delonghi coffee maker and found it very reliable. That experience helped me lean to the EC155.

So far so good.

Strengths: mostly everything
Weaknesses: frother could be a bit longer and space for cup could be a bit higher
Summary: I love this machine! I've been using it every day since I got it. It has been impossible to make a bad espresso. The crema is perfect every time and the milk froths very easily. I really like the alternate pre-heat option. I highly recommend this machine!

Strengths: Compact Powerful
Weaknesses: Not a Solid Metal Wand For Steaming Shot Cup Moves a Little When Espresso is Pouring
Summary: Let me begin with saying this is a great machine, especially for the price. I am a man on a budget but really wanted to get my girlfriend an espresso maker. She was a barrista back in the day so I was concerned with a Sub $100 machine. This machine is great and she loves it. It warms up in about 10 minutes, stays hot enough to steam a full pot of milk for her espresso, and then can be used immediately after steaming milk to brew the espresso. Cleanup is easy, the size is compact.......I just can't say enough good things. The only real drawback is the wand which should not have a plastic endcap on it. The plastic piece is more difficult to clean than a more traditional metal wand.
