Strengths: picture quality, built in HD tuner, HDMI input, crystal clear computer picture through VGA cable, PRICE
Weaknesses: no S-video on back, blacks could be a little blacker- not a significant problem though, could use a few more options in the on screen menu- However, this is being very nitpick-ey
Summary: I have been looking for an LCD in the 27"-37" inch range for about 6 months. It came down to the Olevia 32 inch, Sanyo 32 inch, and this one. (Sorry don't have model numbers for the other two). I never saw the Olevia in action, but did get a chance to see the Sanyo which had a good picture, but not as good as the Vizio in my opinion. The vizio can get very bright, and the picture is sharp. Not Sony sharp, but it is sharp.
You can't do the TV justice unless you hook it up to an HDMI or VGA source. I use it as a computer monitor and am very happy with the picture. Works well for gaming as well with the 8ms? refresh rate. I went out and bought an HDMI dvd player just to see how much better it was than my old with component, and I honestly can say I was able to see a difference. Component looked great, but HDMI looked amazing.
All this for a very competitive, low price. Oh, and it's California based. You don't have to call an out-of-the-country toll number to get helped.
Great company, will definitely buy my next one from them.
