Not too bad, but has its issues
Strengths: Inexpensive
Weaknesses: - It crashes sometimes
- keyboard sequence to switch ports *very inconvenient*
Summary: Ok, this KVM does work and it gets the job done.
It crashes sometimes. It does not have a reset or reboot button, so you have to disconnect power. That means either powering down *both* machines, or unplugging the kvm.
It does not have a hard switch for selecting which machine. This sounds ok, but it is a difficult and inconvenient sequence (scroll-scroll-uparrow). If you are actively working two machines and need to switch often, this is not the KVM for you. You will go nuts with typing the sequence.
Ideally, the sequence should be user selectable. If it were, there are plenty of keys that I don't use. A single user-definable keystroke is a lot better than a 3 stroke sequence.
Lastly, the cables develop a strange white powdery coating. It leaves a weird feel on your hands after handling them.
