Strengths: Built tough to meet the demands of a "Marine type" binocular. Lightwieght for lnog steady views.
Weaknesses: I own several other pairs, most are a little bit more pricy, but I found that this pair meets my needs exactly. So I can find no weaknesses.
Summary: They are provided with a sturdy re-enforced bright yellow nylon neck strap, a one - piece rain guard for the oculars, which can be attached to the neck strap and tethered objective lens caps, that stay firmly in place when the objectives are facing downward. The rubber armored finish in an easy to find blue and black.

The center focus knob is knurled and focuses easily. The rubber coated eye guards move in and out with a nice click stop provision, for eyeglass wearers. I will be using these mainly for astronomical use so the oversized knurled knob, on the right side, for helical focusing the diopter, is a great feature.

The center hole for tripod adaptation is covered with a good sized knurled cover, that screws on and off. This feature probably is for the integrity of waterproofing, but the size of the cap reminds one to store it in a safe place. The usual cap is a thin push-pull device that usually gets lost, leaving the threads exposed.

I bought these to have another pair of 7 x 50s near the telescope and wanted a light roof prism design. All the features that make this pair handy while boating are also useful under the night sky.

They have a secure feel and are a easily hand held pair, that provides superb bright views of star fields and are more than functional for locating objects from a star map.
