Strengths: Design, ease of set-up, picture quality
Weaknesses: Non I can find.
Summary: I spent many hours researching a new LCD purchase. I spoke to a trusted TV repair professional who told me he sees less TOSHIBA or JVC models in for repair then any other models on the market. I followed his advise and researched these 2 brands settling on the Toshia because of price & availability. It was for me a Terrific Decision!!!!

Strengths: Great picture, nice clean design, simple to set-up and use.
Weaknesses: There are none that I can find
Summary: I looked at a lot of other 32" models. This is the best. The number one requirement is picture quality. The Toshiba 32HL66 is the best of the best. I really like the design. It is clean and elegant and goes well anywhere. The setup menu is logical and simple to use. I was up and running in about 30 minutes. Just a great product!

Strengths: Excellent High Definition picture
Weaknesses: Average Standard Definition picture. Also, instructions could be more clearly written.
Summary: Overall, this TV was highly rated by consumer Reports, and lives up to this rating. The speakers are on the bottom of the TV, allowing the TV to more easily fit in a more narrow entertainment center.

Strengths: Inputs, including 2 Component Inputs, Excellent Hi-Def, Small Size
Weaknesses: Remote Control doesn't include code for DirecTV receiver, Input switching brings up menu blocking screen
Summary: After researching LCD TVs in this size on Consumer Reports and via other reviews on this web site and others, it appeared that the 32HL66 was the only TV that met all my requirements. It has 2 Composite Video Inputs (one is S-Video), 2 Component Video Inputs and an HDMI input. The high definition programming with a DirecTV receiver is stunning through the HDMI input. DVDs look terrific- as it is hard to tell the difference between 480p and the higher 720p or 1080i resolution. The sound is adequate, and the menus for programming the TV are OK. The manual didn't come with remote control settings for the DirecTV receivers, and I haven't been able to locate the proper settings. When switching Input modes, the TV displays all of the Input settings and the display stays on screen for about 5 seconds after making the selection, unless you hit the exit key on the remote (which other remotes don't have). Overall, I am very happy with this TV.

Strengths: sharpness, color, clarity, remote control,
Weaknesses: We experienced some picture color resolution issues at first. (It turned to be the video connections.) Troubleshooting parameters in the installation and users manual were not very helpful.
Summary: The clarity, color, and sharpness are AMAZING! This is by far the best picture we have ever seen. Once we solved the cable connection issue, we were very pleasantly impressed! "WOW", is the best word to describe this television!

Strengths: Good Picture Quality via HDMI and component cable, VGA input for computer.
Weaknesses: Standard to subpar SDTV, WOW surround sound is not so good.
Summary: Hooked up the TV via HDMI and component cables to my DVD player and the picture quality looks very good. I especially enjoy using the TV as a computer monitor (1024 x 768) via the VGA port. Consumer Reports had this TV near the top and I can't disagree considering the low price. Sometimes, I wish I had bought the 37" version. My minor complaints are that special features on DVDs don't always look good (even though the movie does) on the TV and the WOW surround sound is not worth turning on (just get a real 5.1 surround sound system). Overall, a very good TV for a great price.

Toshiba 32" LCD TV
Strengths: Lightweight, thin, good color.
Weaknesses: Picture is not good, even on HD channels, when watching sports or fast moving action. I have a feeling it may be our connections, but so far we can't figure out the issue.
Summary: Based upon the other reviews, I hope we'll be happy with this TV. Somehow we just need to resolve the connection issue. I wish they had more info in the troubleshooting guide as it doesn't sound like we're the first ones to have issues with this.

Strengths: Great picture, easy setup.
Weaknesses: I haven't found any yet.
Summary: I was upgraded from the original Toshiba I ordered. Apparently 6Ave.com couldn't get them anymore. Man, was I lucky!
My original TV didn't have a tuner built in. I thought it was no big deal because I needed to have a cable box anyway. They upgraded the unit at no additional charge.
The picture is great! It took no time at all to set up. I can't believe I watched analog TV for so long.
The size was perfect for our entertainment center. It's exceptional!

Strengths: Great value for a flat screen TV.
Weaknesses: The TV image is a little too wide which makes it seem flatened somewhat.
Summary: This is by far the best TV I have ever had; it has a superb quality image and is easy to set-up and start using right away. For the value, this is an outstanding flat screen TV; similar models run up to $1000 more. TOSHIBA has an outstanding reputation, so I look forward to many years of enjoyment.
