Strengths: good picture, good viewing angles, verry light
Weaknesses: built in speakers have NO bass
Summary: highly reccomended for the price, deffinetly worth it, however i do recommend some diffrent speakers dont rely on the built in ones. this monitor is, light, good picture, auto adjusting settings, monitor reccomends you use 1280*1024, but it looks perfect even if ur used to 1024*768 or 800*600

Strengths: This monitor is great, very easy to change settings ,very clear and not much frame work around the screen area to take up extra space. It also has built in speakers .
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is a very good monitor that has all the features of monitors that cost hundreds of dollars more, it is very clear easy to change settings, built in speakers that sound good for their size. There is less than an inch of frame work around the edge of the screen to take up extra space. Most of all the price was great.

Strengths: I see no problems with the monitor. The color looks great and is much bigger than my old 17" that took up way too much space.
Weaknesses: I've not tried the speakers yet. I have much better ones that I already use.
Summary: I ordered the Princeton VL1715 17'' LCD Monitor and am extremely happy with the choice I've made. I decided on the Princeton because that is the model of my old one. I found the monitor at a very low price and ordered it on 2/14. Three days later on 2/17, I received the monitor through UPS. Not only did I get the monitor at a low price but I received it very quickly as well. I would recommend the product and the service. Very quick service.

Strengths: Picture clear, sharp, and uniform, with no dead pixels; autosetup works well, without having to load any software. Can use Windows maximum resolution setting.
Weaknesses: Speakers sound somewhat tinny, with little bass response, and low volume output. Not what a musician would want, but good enough for ordinary web cruising and internet. And front-firing stereo, too.
Summary: 2005-05-04 13:40:10 This is my first LCD monitor, and at 17 inches, makes my other 17" CRT monitor screens look small in comparison. For the price of $189 it seems unbeatable, even though the speakers could be better. But at least there are speakers, and that is nothing to sneeze at in a unit at this price. The picture is clear, uniform, with a wide viewing angle, and operates at maximum Windows XP resolution setting, unlike my CRT monitors. This unit is hard to find elsewhere, and I have to wonder why since it is such a good deal. One year warranty is a drawback, since most LCD's are three years.
