Strengths: The speakers sound really good better then I expected. The control box is the best feature I'm able to tweak all the settings from the control box. The bass is on target when playing games. Weaknesses: The bass when playing music is a little boomy. I just lower the Bass and its all good. The biggest problem would be the short rear speaker cables about 6ft. Summary: These speakers are really good for the money and the control box is great feature. I have added speaker wire lining to the rear speakers and placed them in the back of the office. Its sounds great! 100% of People (8/8) found this review helpful. Strengths: Sharp Looking and great sounding for games. 6 speaker sound is a marked improvement over just two. Headset jack on control pod - very convenient. Weaknesses: The knobs on the 'control pod' are slick, too small and hard to turn. Better for games than music, especially w/ subwoofer turned up. Summary: Overall, I like the speakers but they do have some shortcomings. For instance, they are a little too 'boomy' if the subwoofer is turned up past the half-way mark. Plus if the 'surround' is turned up past the half-way mark, the sound is muddy. As mentioned above, the knobs on the control pod are small and made of some slippery metal/plastic combo, which is annoying. So, getting good sound out of these speakers taking some tweaking. Strengths: Inexpensive, good-enough 5.1 for using PC based home entertainment center. Weaknesses: Boomy, weak controls. Summary: Picked these up after oogling them for a long while. They are "good-enough", but the controls ae touchy, and base booms over high and mid range. They look great, though, and can handle coming from a pc-based entertainment system. Strengths: Loud Bass Weaknesses: Fuzz at high volume levels, I believe this is related to the fans running in the computer. Power buton falls in the control box. Summary: This surround system is a dream! 5.1!!!! The only issue is on the control box, the power button fell into the unit, I had to open it up to replace it. For only being 50 watts it really packs a punch. Weaknesses: Surround speakers could be a bit smaller with detachable base.
