Summary: This head unit is HORRIBLE! I had this in my car for less than a day. After my Alpine CDA-9847 broke, the audio shop guy recommended an Eclipse unit (probably because they weren't selling). ON THE WAY HOME, I called them back and asked if they could find another model of my Alpine because I noticed a huge difference in sound. It was very distorted when turned up above 70%, and even at that level it wasn't as loud as the Alpine. The design only allows for a few letters to be displayed in the scroll function. The worst part was that this thing cost more than my Alpine did! I paid the extra bucks and got an Alpine CDA-9851 and ended that nightmare. Boy, what a mistake - glad it was fixable!
