Strengths: Nice picture; attractive; HD and analog tuner built in; low profile (with speakers underneath); lower cost.
Weaknesses: Fewer inputs (although likely still sufficient); remote not as intuitive as it should be.
Summary: This is a very nice HD LCD TV, typically available at a lower price-point--that can make it a good deal, in the end. Especially nice: the picture is great with, for me, deep blacks; the set is low profile, with a narrow bezel around and the speakers below rather than at the sides (which would add to the already large width); there are built-in analog and HD tuners; the set has a multitude of picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture options; and there are many options for sound and picture settings (rock, cinema, vivid, etc.), and picture size.

The only less-than-greats: the base is a bit clunky-looking (see the pic); the remote is less-than-intuitive and some items are in menus rather than immediately available thru buttons (the most unfortunate: the input button goes to a menu rather than cycling thru the inputs or each input having its own button); I have heard that the remote may not have a larger number of universal codes, sufficient for the programming of some other remotes (I haven't checked this out, yet); and there are sufficient but not a multitude of input connections (one of each of composite, component, HDMI, S-video, and VGA connections, and some others)--while fine for many, some power users or users with many components to hook up may need more than 1 of each.

I am happy with this set for my bedroom. As I said, the picture is great for me, and it's nice to have HD and this large a picture in place of my 13" bedroom set. And I got a great price on it.

3 Star ReviewViewsonic LCD
Strengths: Great Picture, built in HD tuner. Can also be used as a computer monitor.
Weaknesses: Slow response on remote, no dvi, Clicking noise on audio
Summary: My first LCD TV, so I'm very impressed with the picture quality. Can zoom in as well as out, can even freeze frame. Haven't hooked up a DVD player yet, but think I will like the picture. Only problem is a constant clicking noise out of the TV. Can use the menu and do a memory recall and this eliminates the noise sometimes for a day or two, but it always seems to come back

2 Star ReviewViewSonic N2751w is actually a 27" TV...
Strengths: Size; Price; Connectors; Design
Weaknesses: Picture quality; Remote control incompatible with DirecTV; Stand is not removable
Summary: Let's start with the good: This television looks awesome. The design is really nice and looks very classy. There are plenty of connectors so you can hook up all of your peripherals like a DVD player, etc. It's also HDTV compatible and for the price, you can't beat that.

The mediocre: The picture quality is not suited for DirecTV viewing. I have no idea if the quality is better via basic cable or digital cable. It's probably better suited to be a computer monitor and that is likely what I will be using it for in the near future.

The bad: The remote control does not appear to be compatible with DirecTV and vice versa, as no DirecTV remote will work with this ViewSonic television. That means you need TWO remotes -- one to turn on/off and one to change channels. Also, the television remote does not function if you change the backlight on the TV to anything other than bright once the TV is turned off. In other words, if you set the back light and then turn off the TV, when you turn it back on, none of the other buttons work!!

If I had it all to do over again, I'd probably

2 Star ReviewBe careful about using with the newest DirecTV Settop Box H20 Remote
Strengths: Picture. The imput selection is easily accessed.
Weaknesses: No DVI, limited audio in connections. No connectivity to DirecTV H20 Remote Control.
Summary: The first one arrived defective, but View Sonic provided a (new) replacement without any hassle. The replacement works fine.

This model (and perhaps others)WILL NOT work with the Remote Control used by Di recTV's SetTop H20. The H20 has become the standard non-HDVR unit provided by DirecTV with their new 5 LUD Dish.

View Sonic Tech Support suppied 4 codes, which do not work. DirecTV "program remote" had 1 code (which did not work), and Code Search failed. Tech Support offered little help, other than to say "DirecTV Remotes are not guaranteed to work with all TVs". An email for help was answered and in part suggested... I refer to the manual???? DUH!

1 Star ReviewVery disappointed in the Viewsonic N2751W
Strengths: Sturdy construction.
Weaknesses: Very bad picture, Remote defective.
Summary: The N2751W is one of those purchases I had been waiting for since before it was released and then I got it and WOW! Was I disappointed.

It has the worst Picture I have seen on an LCD television, the remote stopped working just 2 weeks into using it, Playback of DVD`s is horrible even on the highest settings, I even bought A new DVD player to go along with it and still get an aweful picture. When I set it to digital using a good antenna It takes forever to lock on and then its dozens of square blocks on the screen every 30 seconds. I am very disappointed with this TV, I expected something better from viewsonic.

Strengths: Beautiful Black Frame, Good Audio, Sleek Stand, HDTV Tuner Built In
Weaknesses: For a monitor would like a little sharper.
Summary: This was purchased as a home office monitor that can double as a TV. The HDTV tuner picks up a ton of signals in the basic cable feed. For computer input easy to use and sleek design that fits where side speakers have problems on desk. Seemed to be the best overall monitor in the category for the price.

Strengths: Good picture, widescreen, reasonably priced
Weaknesses: Not as sharp a picture as expected.
Summary: I bought this tv due to its HDTV capability and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The tv was easy to set up, and the picture is of good quality but NOT high quality. But, for a basic TV, this tv does just fine for me. I have always just had 19" TVs, so this is a step up for me. This TV is much more reasonably priced than others in the same category. I recommend this TV for those who watch a small to moderate amount of television.

Strengths: nice vivid, picture display
Weaknesses: no dvi
Summary: This is a great basic t.v., which is all I wanted, for one's apartment. Saves space and has a great vivid display. No problems with this tv and I reccommend it as a T.V.

Strengths: Nice picture quality, built-in HD tuner
Weaknesses: color needs adjustment out of the box, still bit expensive
Summary: Bought this TV for the bedroom and its got nice picture quality once you adjust the colors. Its a bit on the red side out of the box so I had to adjust the clors via the menu. Once that was done, the picture is very good. I haven't tried any HD signals yet since I don't have HD cable and don't have a HD antenna but DVDs look fantastic in its native wide screen. LCD prices are on its way down but if you want a nice 2nd HD set for your bedroom or den this is a good choice.

Strengths: Sleak looking, good picture quality, affordable price
Weaknesses: TV getting very hot after hours of use
Summary: I got this TV from staples.com for 500 bucks, it is totally a good buy. This TV is not very heavy and looks very sleak outside. It has a build-in HDTV tuner which saved me another 200 bucks for a tuner. The over all picture quality is very good, except that there might be some blur spot when watching sports, I am not sure it is the TV or the HD signal yet.

3 Star Reviewgood shape without sharp image
Strengths: price
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I didn't have HDTV signal, so I can't tell the image which is not that good as I expected because of the cable source or TV itself. But I think the price is good for 26" LCD HDTV though, only one thing I'm not satisfied which is the letter shown on the menu too small!!
