Lemon
Strengths: good concept
Weaknesses: practically unusable. Constant repairs and delay
Summary: I had mine installed in Feb 08. It worked for about 1 month and then failed. Eventually a service call discovered the problem was a failed inverter board. It took over 30 days to get the part. It took another week or so to get it installed. Oven worked another week or so and failed. A new company was sent by Whirlpool for warranty repair. Three trips failed to solve the problem. Each service would "fix" the problem and then within as soon as 20 minutes the problem would recur. Today will be the 5th visit to install yet another "board" that might be the culprit. In all this time I have had use of my oven for maybe 30 days. We talked with Whirlpool and told them we thought we have a lemon. They want us to wait and have more repairs. I am now hoping that it will be repaired before the warranty expires. I am most unhappy with this product and would never recommend one to a friend. Amazingly, a friend who has one that has worked perfectly recommended to us that it was a good product. If Whirlpool would simply recognize that this unit is a lemon and replace it and start the warranty over I would be happy.
