Strengths: Combo unit, with adjustable display views and color. Slim cabinet. HDMI and Component inputs.
Weaknesses: No backlit remote. Not a strong sound system. Takes about 7 seconds to turn on. Sound always defaults to Mono after you turn off and then back on.
Summary: This unit is ideal for a small room. You can change the picture view from Wide, 4:3 and panoramic, and you can also zoom. I wasn't able to test the HD view as my Satellite tuner isn't HD yet. Could not get the TV to work with the Satellite remote,(Dish Network) so I have to use both remotes. Other reviews on this model complained of a buzzing sound, but I haven't heard anything. The SD picture isn't very sharp as expected and is noticeably fuzzy the closer you are. The DVD picture looked pretty clear and sharp. I didn't see any ghosting or pixelation when watching Battlestar Galactica. The blacks looked good and not gray. The speakers are OK for a small room, but connecting to a receiver for surround sound would be better. For some reason, the sound always defaults to mono when I turn the TV off and then back on. Easy enough to change, but I would like it to stay on Stereo as it sounds better. I'm pretty satisfied with the unit and the picture will get sharper as I switch to HD.
