Strengths: user friendly, great picture, has fm radio, reception is good, great product for the price
Weaknesses: as with all tv tuners, memory is always a consideration as this may cause problems with recording
Summary: i would recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable quality tv tuner. i have yet to see any downfalls. i use it on a daily basis and am very satisfied with the product. it is great for my laptop and since it is a pcmcia card, it adds no bulk to what i have to carry.

1 Star ReviewNot Good
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Software, reception.
Summary: 2006-10-28 22:57:37 Don't expect a good television picture with this device. All stations have HEAVY static. Cable stations weren't all found. Remote doesn't work well. Flimsy construction. From a Korean company so software support is minimal. Software not Windows XP Logo certified, as your computer will tell you when you try and install it.

Strengths: Price! Ease of Install. Price!
Weaknesses: Teeny tiny program interface, its a little hard to see the buttons.
Summary: We are Very happy with this card. this was my first t.v. tuner card. I was not expecting too much from something that cost less than 40 bucks, but I am very pleased. Program upgrade would be nice.

Strengths: Multiple recording formats. Picture fine tuning. Multiple inputs including stereo audio.
Weaknesses: Playback with included software is lacking volume EQ adjustments.
Summary: This is a great TV tuner card. I build laptops for a living and have installed several of these on my customer's laptops. The picture is excellent, but it takes several adjustments in the recording tab to get the picture quality just right. I have found that the best setting for a pentium 3 laptop running a 1.2GHz CPU and 1 gig of memory from a S-Video jack connected to satellite TV is MPEG-2, 320 x 240, 29.97 frame rate, Normal quality, 5000 bitrate and fastest encoding speed. This produces a clear fluid picture with no "jerky" motions. I prefer to use Cyberlink Power DVD 6 and above for playback though, because you can fine tune the sound via the equalizer settings and also the picture. I noticed the volume in the included player is not very loud, but if you playback the recorded material in Cyberlink PowerDVD with some good quality USB powered speakers the sound is awesome!

1 Star ReviewNot Compatable with XP
Strengths: I wasn't able to observe any strength. I can't get it to work, mainly due to the inability to install the driver.
Weaknesses: The driver is not compatible with WIN XP.
