 Waste of $35 Strengths: It acts as a CD-R....
Weaknesses: It does not play any of the media advertised like DVD+R or Dual Layer. No Support for it..
Summary: This is supposedly a rebadged Liteon writer. Search the Sony sites and the only info you will find is in Chinese. How do you cover any warranty on it??. I purchased it due to it's specs and DVR-+R, DVD-+RW and Dual layer capabilities. It only works on CD-R and DVD-R with Nero 6.6 or WinDVD. Don't waste your money like I did. My last Sony PC part for sure.....If they sell a white box writer they should still support it World wide IMO. Sony offers no Firmware updates either for it, you need to go second party and it still will not work properly yet..
