Strengths: Takes good pictures and video. Very compact, fits in the palm of your hand and only ways a few ounces.
Weaknesses: Small lens requires moderate to high light intensity such as outdoor use. Indoor video is difficult, however the flash will allow you still picture indoors. The picture is too grainy at full zoom.
Summary: Good camera, will take amazing 12 MP stills. Indoor video is difficult without adequate lighting with this small lens. The zoom is not worth using past 50% capacity with the picture quality going down beyond 50% to an excessively grainy picture at 100%. Still, for the money, this compact, lightweight device has a lot to desire and will serve my purposes well.
