Strengths: Ultra fast
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2004-10-28 03:51:36 I have just bought the panasonic 256MB. I also have a kingston 256MB. I tested both to see how they perform and it was clear that the panasonic card was much quicker. Panasonic has speed 10MB/s (or about 68x) while the Kingston has 2MB/s (or 13.65x). Panasonic, in the papers is 5 times faster, and that's exactly how it felt when I tested both.

Strengths: really fast -- true 10MB/s, did't have any incompatibility issues
Weaknesses: price is a little high
Summary: I had it for 2 days and it's way better than my Kingmax 60x 256MB and Lexar 128MB.

You don't even have to do any measurements -- with USB2.0 card reader it's at least 1.5 times faster to download from and 2 times faster to upload to than with the other two.

Bottomline. It's worth it, I will definitely buy Panasonic SD cards instead of cheap Sundisk/Viking/Kingston/Kingmax ones.

Strengths: Holds approx 200 photos at the highest resolution
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is a great card. I've heard stories about other 256mb cards that don't hold as many images. I would recommend splurging and going with this card. It is so nice to NOT have to save the images to your computer as frequently. Especially when traveling.

Strengths: Fast, has Write Protect Switch, Panasonic is the most trusted brand in SD cards
Weaknesses: pricier
Summary: This is my second SD card and it works fine. My first is a simpletech 256 MB SD card, which is supposedly the same as the Panasonic. They're both fast 10mb/s transfer rates and i haven't had any problems with corrupt data or anything else with either card. According to other websites, my Minolta G500 camera performs very slowly with other cards which is why I have only used Hi-speed Panasonic equivalent SD cards.

Strengths: Panasonic is original developer of Secure Digital Memory Card. Fastest data trasfer speed(10MB/sec) and Highest compatibiltiy to most digital camera
Weaknesses: Little bit higher price than other brand. The most expensive SD card(but it's worth it)
Summary: Panasonic is one of the company that developed secure digital memory card so they have original technology regarding to the SD memory card.

Panasonic SD card is one of the fastest SD card(10MB/sec) on the market. Especially when you record movie with digital camera, you absolutely need fast data transfer memory card.

And Panasonic SD card have highest compatibility to most digital camera. Most of digital camera company do compatibility test with panasonic SD card. For example, only panasonic SD card passed compatibility test for 256MB or higher memory for my Konica minolta G400 digital camera.

Just invest little more and have decent one.

It's worth it!

Strengths: Good Brand, matches the camcorder I have (GS-120). Feel confident.
Weaknesses: Price is higher than most other brands of 256 MB SD card
Summary: I have many Panasonic Video/Audio devices for long time. Everything was nice except TV. This is the first SD card I have and I wanted it even it is pricier than other brands.

I would rather have Confidence on the brand than payint a little more on the price.

Strengths: Fast and speedy
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I have bought this in Hong Kong for US$60 and it is quite expensive comparing with other brands. But it is worth to buy because it is really fast. You can tell the difference by loading the pictures. I have also bought PNY 256 MB. Panasonic is almost instantly saved the photo but there will be a delay for PNY to save photos.

I will definitely buy one more in the near future. It is also highly recommended you to buy this instead of the other brands.
