Strengths: 6meg jpeg file, anti shake is amazing, it has all the bells.
Weaknesses: Too many bells for most people.
Summary: Just what I wanted in a camera large jpeg 6meg., 100 - 3200 asa perfect , the anti shake is great, large LCD display that changes the camera info when you move the camera vertical, the images stay as taken.

Strengths: Built-in Anti-shake system; LCD rotates when you shoot vertically
Weaknesses: Nothing that I can think of
Summary: I have been using this camera for about 2 months now & I cannot but say great things about it. The picture quality is excellent & the dials on the body make it very easy for changing the settings. I previously owned a Minolta Maxxum SLR film camera & already had the lenses, which fit very nicely into my new "digital setup".

I would highly recommend this camera to anyone, if you can find one for a good price. I bought mine for an excellent price & have no complaints about it.

Strengths: Robust, many immediately accessible controls (physical dials vs. menus), picture quality (only 6mp, but has good sensor), ISO up to 3200 (a rarity), good focusing mechanism, responsive, IS.
Weaknesses: Could use a bump to 8mp for cropping purposes, getting somewhat "long in the tooth"
Summary: While dated at the time of purchase (~2 years from release), I was still impressed at using this camera. Admittedly, this is my first DSLR so I may be biased, but I've always kept up with digital photography and had completed a significant amount of research before deciding and buying the 7d.

Strengths: Image stabilization (IS) is in the camera body so works with standard lenses, unlike Canon and Nikon dslrs that require special lenses for IS. Best ergonomic design of any dslr ever produced.
Weaknesses: Short battery life (battery lasted for 240 shots in my test). Somewhat slow startup time (just over 2 seconds) when compared to current dslrs.
Summary: A fantastic camera with excellent design. The first thing you will notice when picking up this camera is the durable magnesium alloy body. No other camera in this price range is so solidly constructed. All of the buttons and dials are placed where they should be. Has the best ergonomic design of any camera. The image sensor and built in image processing produces fantastic images with rich and vibrant colors that are not over-saturated. Best if used in RAW format and converted with Adobe Photoshop CS2. The only thing that I would improve about it is the short battery life. The image sensor could have been a little larger for a camera in its price range, as well. Still, an excellent camera with solid construction and great image quality. If you can find this one for a good price, I highly recommend it.
