Strengths: Quick channel surfing.
Weaknesses: No specific DVD function on remote.
Summary: The SDHBH has been a fine receiver. We have 3 of these in our house and they all work great.
I will admit to doing a bit of channel surfing from time to time and I am very pleased with the quick response of these receivers.
When viewing in Guide mode, having the channel you are currently watching squeezed in to the upper right hand corner while you are surfing is a big plus. You can still see if what you are watching is more interesting than you thought after doing a bit of surfing.
The unit itself is very functional. The power light on the front of the receiver is obvious enough and the inclusion of menu, select, and arrow keys is nice in case you forget where you have your remote or are too lazy to put new batteries in when it dies.
The remote will also operate TV, VCR, and AUX. I have been able to operate my DVD using the AUX, but not completely. It would have been a big plus to specifically have a DVD device button. Overall though, I will say that the button placement on the remote is very nice and plainly laid out.
