Strengths: I owned a hot shot my son gave me for mothers day when he was 5, he is now 18! It finally died. I drink hot tea every morning and this is so fast and convenient.
Weaknesses: sometimes the water reacts to the metal in the heating area and it tastes a little metallic.
Summary: I have used other kettles on the market and this product beats them all. It heats quickly and turns off safely after the water is heated. Some other products don,t do this and they produce steam in the air that can mess up your cabinets too. My son bought me one 15 years ago and I used it everyday until it gave out and I bought a new one!
