Strengths: Affordable, attractive, looks built-in, quiet Weaknesses: No weaknesses found yet Summary: I love my LG French door counter depth refrigerator! I have only had it for a week but it is just what I was looking for. It is very affordable for a counter-depth frig and it looks great. The interior is brightly lit and the bins are convenient with one being the width of the refrigerator allowing storage of wider items. The refrigerator is not as deep as a traditional depth frig but it makes up for it in the extra width. Items don’t get lost in the back and are more visible. I like the plastic bin in the freezer drawer instead of my old refrigeator’s wire one. Things don’t fall through as easily. The icemaker is not hooked up yet so I will have to wait and see how well this works. Upon plugging it in I was impressed with how quiet it is and it cooled down very quickly. I was worried that the french doors would have some alignment problems but they were perfect and needed no adjustment. The loose ice will end up on the floor or wait untill you have a power failier and then ruin your kitchen floor. Many very sharp edges on chassis! Summary: Looks like LG has not learned anything from there Lucky Gold Star days. Bottom freezer and french door are great. Weaknesses: Reliability and service techs take to long to get replacement parts. Summary: The thing Died exactly 1 year and one week after delivery. LG was nice enough to extend the warranty by one month to cover this repair, who knows what will happen in the future. Main board , the compressor and compressor relay are all dead. I've been without a fridge for 3 weeks now. It takes a week to get each part, and I'm getting service from a company they provided. This is a disaster Was this review helpful or unhelpful for you?
