Strengths: durable materials; easy to clean; ergonomic for baby's body; harness padding protects baby's neck from strap rubbing; adjustable to recline in place!
Weaknesses: removable head pad not needed; doesn't fit baby's anatomy.
Summary: After researching car seats in the same class, we found this model gives a lot for the price. Since we had to buy two at once, price was important, but we didn't want to sacrifice the features that make a car seat good! Most important features for us: generous padding, easily adjusting harness, durable seat materials.
The SafeSeat has a unique recline feature; material cleans easily, and is easily removed for same. The padding is generous and the harness clasps are easy to connect. I especially like the removable harness padding that protects the baby's neck from the harness rubbing near the neck. For long trips, comfort is paramount; this car seat delivers (as far as we can tell)! Also, Graco provides great customer service.
