Strengths: HDMI INPUT, DVD UPCONVERTER, WIRELESS BACK SPEAKER POSSIBLE W/ SEPERATE ADAPTER
Weaknesses: NO ECTRONIC AUDIO INPUT
Summary: BOUGHT THIS SYSTEM FOR $330 FROM BEST BUY, WAS SURPRISED TO SEE IT HAD A HDMI INPUT WHICH MAKES THYE AUDIO AND VIDEO MUCH BETTER.(MUST HAVE TV W/ HDMI IN/OUT PUTS.) LOTS OF COOL FEATURES THAT YOU WILL LEARN AFTER SOME TINKERING. THE BEST PART OF THIS SYSTEM IS THE WIRELESS BACK SPEAKERS. YOU MUST PURCHASE THE PANASONIC ADAPTER ABOUT $120 BUT WELL WORTH IT. N O RUNNING WIRES NEEDED FOR SET UP. SIMPLY PLUG THE BACK SPEAKERS INTO THE ADAPTER AND THE ADAPTER ACTS LIKE A CORDLESS 2.4 GHZ PHONE AND PICKS UP THE SOUND WITH NO DELAY FROM THE RECEIVER. YOU WILL LOVE THIS SYSTEM AS LOND AS YOU HAVE THE HDMI TV IF NOT IT WOULD BE TOUGH TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT...

Strengths: It has great sound quality and is HDMI ready. Easy to setup.
Weaknesses: One video input, hard to set up to your television or game system.
Summary: Does anyone have any ideas how to set up my new PS3 to the system?

It has me baffled trying to come up with ideas.

Any help would be appreciated.

1 Star ReviewUNACCEPTABLE CHOICE
Strengths: Purchase at Costco for $299,000. The back of the display model could not be seen so that I assumed that it had optical input for the TV cable converter. IT HAS NO OPTICAL INPUT!!!!!!
Weaknesses: NO OPTICAL INPUT FOR QUALITY SOUND.
Summary: Time is money and this system WASTED MY TIME. It is not responsible to sell a system as a HOME ENTERTAIN SYSTEM with NO Quality Input from your TV converter.

Strengths: HDMI INPUT, DVD UPCONVERTER, WIRELESS BACK SPEAKER POSSIBLE W/ SEPERATE Wirless box
Weaknesses: only has 1 input which is a pain if you want to add your tv reciever, xbox ect
Summary: Bought this system so i could downsize from my paradigm system , (was going for the new modular look lol )added the rear wireless box and plugged it all in and believe it or not it all worked flawlessly it sounds really good right out of the box but if you spend a little time tweeking it sounds great ...for the price it's an excellent value

Strengths: Wireless Ready Rear Speakers HDMI output
Weaknesses: One Inupt for External Sound
Summary: I think overall, the system is very good. I liked how easy it was to set up the system. You just need to connect the wires, and you are ready to go. The optional Rear wireless speakers made it easy to set up. You just plug in the wireless adapter that comes with the Wireless part into the system, and it works. I was expecting more inputs into the system to connect, but it only had one AUX in port. It is not a big deal to me. Overall, I am happy with the system, and would purchase it again in the future if needed.

Strengths: Easy setup and installation. Great sound for very little money. Wireless rear speaker option worth the price ($150)
Weaknesses: None that I can see at the moment.
Summary: Terrific sound for a terrific price. I was an audiophile in my younger days, and have heard many expensive sound systems in the past. It's hard to believe you can get such a great movie experience for only $300. I am very impressed with the sound. I havent used it as a CDplayer or FM tuner as we have it set up in the master bedroom. The wife didn't want an elaborate set up there which I can understand. This system fit both our needs as far as ease of setup, small speakers and great sound.

Strengths: Easy setup, HDMI port, has played all media tried (DVD+R, burned CDs, jpg's), great sound/picture on DVD's
Weaknesses: One Aux port, remote is a bit too complicated, player very deep..check your specs, sound from TV is aux just ok
Summary: I've purchased the home theaters in a box in the $100 range, and..well, you get what you pay for. So when I got a new 32" HDTV in my bedroom, I needed to upgrade.

After doing extensive research for Home Theaters in the $250-$300 range, it came down to between this system and the LG LH-T9654S.

With both receiving very good customer reviews and having similar features, I went with the Panasonic. The major reasons being the speaker stands, 5 disc tray, and front ipod connectivity.

Strengths: Great sound, HDMI ports
Weaknesses: No, so far
Summary: I bought from Bestbuy the day after Thanksgiving, $300 what a great deal!

Set up is easy and fast, it took me a hour.

HDMI port is good future for upconversion. My new Sony 50" TV has 2 2 HMDI inputs. I was glad to get the DVD with HDMI.

I'm happy with the unit and do recommend it.

2 Star ReviewNow outdated
Strengths: Overall Panasonic systems are pretty good, but...
Weaknesses: No optical input, no upscaling, tower speakers cumbersome.
Summary: Got this on clearance, returned it thereafter. You can do better if you are looking for something in late 2007 or later. Not BAD, just lacking some standard features you'll want to get (ipod dock, XM compatibility, upscaling to 1080p). I understand the appeal of these cheapie all-in-one home theatre systems, but I'd also suggest strongly considering a real AV receiver, and a component DVD player.

Strengths: Sound, Quality. Style
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is a true bargin system. And it is from Panasonic, not some run of the mill cheap electronics company (example: coby,Emerson, etc) High quailty finish, excellent equipment to entertain guests and listen to music at all volume levels.
