Strengths: Ease of use & setup, Phonebook can be transferred from other handsets, Works as an intercom with base or another handset. Excellent call clarity/strength, including out in the yard.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I bought this handset to replace an older phone in a bedroom/office. I've had the KX-TG5672 for over a year now and it works great. It has an answering machine/base unit (kitchen) and an additional handset (bedroom). Since I've had good success with this phone I decided to just purchase another handset as I liked using the existing one in the bedroom.
I wanted the black handset but I found the silver one (color really wasn't that big of a deal) for $20 less, and brand new. As this handset is the "add on", the silver color would indicate that it was not one of the original phones.
After charging it overnight, I registered it with the base unit, copied the phonebook, and was up and running. Took all of 1 minute to do these two steps.
If you need a phone for a room where there's no existing phone line, or it's not easily accessible, then this is the way to go if you can expand your phone system. In hindsight, I wish I had gotten the Panasonic system with two additional handsets rather than one. But hindsight is always 20/20.
