Strengths: - Excellent, balanced sound with strong bass
- Multiple inputs, user-friendly adjustment options
- Awesome, no-frills, professional design
Weaknesses: - Power adapter quite bulky & heavy
- USB power option would have been great
Summary: I purchased these to go with my laptop & mp3 player, we all know how weak & whiny laptop speakers are.
Before buying I went to a store & compared these with the two other high-end PC/MP3 2.0 speaker systems, the Klipsch Ultra & the Bose one.
First of all, all three have a total power output of 40 watts, even though the box of the Creatives says initially 22 watts, 11 per speaker, but in the end states 40 watts total system output. The Klipsch say 40 right away & Bose does not disclose their speakers' output, however they sounded quite similar to the Klipsch & Creatives, so I'd say it's the same.
Where the T20 blows the competition is in the technology & versatility departments. The T20 are the newest out of the three & they feature a tweeter that's actually on the top of the speaker (not the bottom), which allows for excellent, powerful bass. Further, their imaging is really balanced, rich & clear. Their design is also great, very sleek--a cool grey glossy fiber housing on the front, as well as nice chrome knobs.
As far as versatility goes, the T20 is the only system that has both bass & treble adjustment knobs--Klipsch only has bass & Bose has none! Besides, the volume knob serves as power on/off switch, therefore no need to unplug from electric outlet. Finally, the T20 also have the headphone & aux-in inputs on the front of the right speaker, making it super easy to use them. I should also mention that they come with all necessary cables--the PC-to-speaker cable, a cable for any device featuring a 3.5mm plug, & even this dual RCA-to-stereo adapter for use with a TV or another device with RCA outputs.
All in all, great product!

Strengths: Small, very good sound, sleek design.
Weaknesses: Not suitable for a large room, and bass is not very strong.
Summary: I bought these speakers to use at work with my ipod.
I choose these over the Klipsch ProMedia because reviews stated that they produce better sound at lower volumes.
Actually, the sound is crystal clear--very good at high range, the best I have ever heard: it is amazing for such a small size. But due to the size, the bass is not very strong- acceptable for me-but if you want strong bass, 2.1 speaker maybe necessary.
And the volume is not very strong, so it is best for small room.
At last, I love its design, it is small and attractive.

Strengths: excellent quality and workmanship
Weaknesses: The holes in the top are dust catchers but should not create any other problems
Summary: Just got the speakers today and already I love them, excellent sound from such a small set up. Good treble and bass tones and the clarity is excellent.

Strengths: crystal clear highs, and low mid range tones!
Weaknesses: blinding blue light, and enormous power supply.
Summary: These are the best 2.0 speakers I've heard in this price range! I bought these online (untested in any store) and was basically going by what others were saying about them, and I gotta say I'm happy I took the chance on them because they are well worth the $80 w/ free shipping (that I paid)!
They are powerful speakers, with crystal clear highs and low mid range tones. I wasn't expecting the bass to sound as good as it does without a subwoofer, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a punch they actually deliver.
If I had to give them any negative feedback, it would be the blue "power on" light is so bright I can almost use them as a night light... and the power supply is gigantic! but aside from that they are top notch speakers!
If you're expecting to listen to rap or loud rock, I suggest looking elsewhere, but for everyday PC speakers these can't be beat! I use them for music as well as games, and they both sound fantastic! highly recommended!

Strengths: Small in size but still produce good sound quality
Weaknesses: The design and quality both cost money.
Summary: The front line-in is very convenient for me to hook up my mp3 player with the speaker. Although the speaker is smaller than what I expected, it does produce very good sound quality. Its look is also nice; kind of high-tech feeling. I would suggest the speaker to someone who want a speaker with good size-quality tradeoff, especially someone who want to put the speaker in plain view (e.g., living room).

Strengths: Small footprint means you can put these anywhere! Great sound and solid bass for such a small unit.
Weaknesses: If you're used to thick bass from an 8" or larger subwoofer, you may not be satisfied with these. Otherwise none!
Summary: Setting up a multi-satellite system is frustrating, especially if the sound isn't quite right. Plus you have to have a spot for the subwoofer. These little guys fix that right up, and still have great sound! The price cannot be beat for the quality. Am replacing the famed Klipsch 2.1 with these, due to a broken connector "basket" on the Klipsch.

Strengths: More than enough volume, bass better than one might expect
Weaknesses: None for my application
Summary: Wanted some unobtrusive but decent speakers to hook up to a bedroom TV via a T-amp. These fit the bill perfectly. Noticeable improvement over the anemic in-set speakers on my cheapo Apex tv (no surprise there). I'm sure an audiophile would find some fault with the quality of the treble or the authenticity of the midrange, but for tv---which is still mostly dialogue---these really fit the bill perfectly for me.

Strengths: The treble and midtones are very highly defined and crisp for speakers this small and in this price range
Weaknesses: I expected this shortcoming, as the speaker membranes aren't very large
Summary: I am a Hi-Fi enthusiast who has spent a lot of money in top equipment. I was looking for some decent speakers for my MP3 player (not just the ultra-thin-cool ones that produce metallic whispers rather than proper sound). I can say I am delighted with the Gigaworks. They are truly musical, with a high tolerance for artefacts produced by compressed music. The strongest point, as you can imagine, are the mid tones. They sound wonderful with any type of vocal music and/or stings (jazz, pop, classical). The tweeter is a really top one, allowing violin to play high but with a natural feeling, not metallic at all (which says a lot about the speakers, as MP3 compression damages the high frequencies big way). The Bass: this is a very tall order for any small speaker. The bass is great in the upper side of the low frequencies spectrum and well integrated with the mid tones. Do not expect anything on the 10 Hz- 70 Hz band because it is physically impossible. Though it is very good and pleasant, it will not satisfy people who love Hip hop or Dance music but it works great with heavy metal and hard rock. Yes, they DO BASS and very well but not to shake the windows.
Finally, the speakers can go very, very loud if your MP3 has a Lineout option for the headphone output (mine it's a Sony HD and it does have the option in the menus). If your model does not have it, the maximum volume depends on the maximum volume level of your MP3.
Built quality is second to none: they are proper speakers, not toys. All in all, a great investment for MP3 players. If you want more bass (Hip-hop or dance music), I recommend the Acoustic Energy Aego M (2.1). I have them in my computer and they rock if you have a good sound card to run them like the Creative X-Fi (as I have).
THERE IS NOTHINGH BETTER FOR UNDER £50 IN THE MARKET, THAT IS 100% TRUE.

Strengths: Sleek, elegant design with amazing crisp sound
Weaknesses: Bulky A/C Adapter, UltraBright Blue Led Light, Quite Pricey
Summary: I was looking for a nice set of speakers to go with my Creative M, and after doing my research, I decided to stay with the Creative family, and boy I wasn't disappointed. The design is sleek and quite elegant, of which you would expect from its pricetag. The sound does not disappoint either. While it may not blast a room or rattle any house, it will give you an amazing listening experience. The aux in is great for my Creative M and allow me to have countless hours of music on it. The only slightly nags are the huge chunky power adapter and ultrabright blue led light. Of course, it also a bit difficult at first to swallow the price tag on these babies, but I am beginning to be glad I did.

Strengths: good design, great sound for 2.0 speakers.
Weaknesses: a little pricy.
Summary: High quality little speakers. Treble, Bass control. Front and rear audio input. Compared with my logitech x530, the T20 has clearer details in treble than the middle and front speakers of X530, though they never match x530 with surround sound and subwoofer's bass, which is the lower-end 5.1 speakers, and cheaper than T20. I think x530 has better overall effects and feelings. So if you like 2.0 setup or your space is limited, it's a good choice for computer and mp3. Or you may consider setup a surround sound audio system.

Strengths: Small footprint on desktop, clear highs and mids, adequate bass, AUX IN is a nice bonus
Weaknesses: Blue LED on right speaker is much too bright
Summary: The GigaWorks T20 speakers are pricey for a 2.0 setup, but make up for it with clear sound. The highs and mids are especially impressive. Bass is adequate, but not overly powerful. Also, the right speaker allows the user to adjust volume, bass, and treble. It also has front inputs for headphones and an AUX IN for an external device, such as a mp3 player. The blue LED on the right speaker is very bright (I put a piece of electrical tape over it to hide it). All in all, the T20 is definitely an impressive 2.0 speaker system.

Strengths: Clear sound, decent base for a 2.0 system
Weaknesses: The blue led is to bright
Summary: 2007-01-02 18:13:40 Play a CD or a lossless compressed audio file to really hear the quality these speakers can produce.
And I like to move treble and base up a little in Media Player using its software equalizer.
I would say the speakers are mid size, actually a little bigger than I thought as they are 9" tall and 5.5" deep.
But I gone need to open the right speaker up and put a resistor on that too bright blue LED.
I paid $40 after $20 rebate and at that price I say go for it.
At full retail of $80 I would have to think about it.

Strengths: Compact size, nice balanced sound.
Weaknesses: Gray color, but otherwise no other weaknesses.
Summary: As mentioned in other reviews, these are exceptional PC/MP3 speakers for the price. Nice clear sound. Tweeters are located on the bottom, with the mid range and bass port on the top. THe bass port is at the top of the speaker, which is nice. Allows close positioning to the wall without affecting the bass.
Would be nicer isf the finish came in other colors than just gray (black, wood tones), but for the price, they cannot be beat.
I have them in my office connected to my MP3/sat radio, and the sounds is perfect for what I wanted. The bright blue LED is distracting. The separate Aux in jack in the front and back is a nice touch. Headphone jack in the front cuts out speakers, and is affected by the base and treble controls. The amplification on the headphone jack is sufficient to drive any headphones, including larger higher impedance units, which is nice.
Power supply is not that large considering. While it would be nice to be USB powered, the power draw is too much for something like that. And, it would keep you from using the speakers with other devices (MP3 players, TVs, etc.).
Very happy.
