Summary: Hey guys this RC helicopter is a great beginners toy. I had a minor incident involving a slightly windy day and about 90feet high in the air when i lost control and crashed it. (My own stupidity in the wind i know), Broke the tail off and smashed the cabbin. Easily fixed the cabin with Electrical Tape. The tail was not a mission to fix at all either. As u can see in the pics i have added i used Liquid nails a cable tie, Also added some fishing line from the tail to the Skids for more support(stronger than b4) Now flies brilliant. Potentiometer is set to the horizontal position. The Heli has a natural backwards/Left drift. If it didn't it would be boring just up and down and hovering. It is tricky to learn to hover and fly around as it is only 2Ch controlled and can be quite agile. With practice and patience you will have hours of enjoyment. I learnt by keeping it about 1 meter of the ground and spinning the tail both ways to make it drift left and right in front of me then over my head and then started to make it go over the house roof :) Launching it from your hand is a good way i found also.(Watch the face) Hope this helps you fix the tail problems you are experiencing and some flight drammas. Good luck Guys and all the best. I hope to hear from u soon. Nath

1 Star ReviewSYMA Dragonfly R/C Helicopter
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I purchased this last week and took it out for a first flight over the weekend. No winds on a sunny day. I got 10 minutes of unstable flying before the chopper tail unit broke. The helicopter never got higher than 10 feet in the air and it landed on grass. I purchased this helicopter from E-Bay and was informed by the dealer that tail breakage is the most common problem buyers have had. In fact, he mentioned that 30 other people have contacted him recently with the same problem. I bought it for approx $30 (with shipping) and was told it would cost $18 for a new part. I didn't bother asking if that included shipping because either way, it's a rip. Don't waste your money on this toy. It looks fun, but wasn't worth the 10 minutes I got to play with it.

3 Star ReviewPatience
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: brittle aerial
Summary: Initially my heli flew backwards and continuously spun. After adjustment of the potentiometer it started to stable up. there is a fine line for this because of the different speeds. I found that once i had it stable in the air (with a bit of left turn on) it still wanted to fly backwards. This was compensated by more power and by golly did she fly. Sorry people but patience is required for this one. All of this was done on its maiden flight. I also found that using a large board on grass with the tail rotor overhanging works fine. When landing give some more power just before the ground and it hovers quite well enough for you to land. Saying that though it might be just the fact that i have a good one-i don't know--but there you go. hope my experience might help someone. I'm now off to get the Medivac helicopter. cool

Strengths: Anyone could fly this Heli
Weaknesses: None
Summary: 2007-08-18 10:14:24 Hi All,

I've been flying model helicopters for years and remember when I bought my GMP Cricket."Still own her" Any ways The Syma Dragon fly is as good as it's sister the Schwitzer 300. Once you trim your heli it makes your neighbor assume that you as compatent a flyer as any! Parts can be gotten through Xheli.com for any problem on these toys! A dime in the nose of the canopy gives just enough forward flight to make this heli very fun. With extra batteries a day of procedure flying can set you up for most any heli you want to fly. GO GET ON!
