Strengths: Grett picture, scales very well, Super price for 1080p!
Weaknesses: Remote is terrible and my cable remote can't find a code to operate it. Reprogrammed my Sony universal instead.
Summary: High def picture is positively SPECTACULAR. Best Buy must have had the brightness on their display model turned waaaayyyy down (would they stoop to this tactic to sell more expensive sets?) because my picture is every bit as good as the Samsungs, Sharps, and Sony's I saw on display if not better! For those experiencing poor quality normal def, if your cable box has multiple video outputs that operate simultaneously, you can do as I did. In addition to your HDMI/HDMI cable hook up, add a triple RCA cable (red, white, yellow) to the 3 jacks in the S-Video section. Now when you switch between HD and Normal Def channels, press the "HDMI" or "Video" button on the Westinghouse remote (I have this programmed on one remote). To me, the normal def picture is noticeably better on the single RCA video cable (but you need the red and white cables for your audio!) than on the HDMI; Have ideas but not sure why. Buy it! With Cable or Dish, who needs an extra grand worth of tuner(s) and associated firmware?

Nice TV for its price
Strengths: A lot of HD inputs, very simple user interface, easy to setup and control
Weaknesses: Quality is not very well assured on this model
Summary: The overall experience is good, very good as a PC monitor, also decent with SD DirecTV content.
After a week one of the DVI connectors started making problems. Good to have additional in-home coverage!

Strengths: Great HD picture, great price for a 37".
Weaknesses: Remote is so-so, backlighting. Wish there were 2 HDMI inputs instead of one.
Summary: I shopped around, and compaired many HDTV's before I bought this one, and I'm glad I did. What a great picture!! I have a Comcast HDDVR box, which also has HDMI output, and the picture is fantastic!! I love the auto input feature, which tells you each time you switch sources, or channel that indicated 1080, etc.
I have a Samsung upconvert DVD player, and when watching at 1080 the picture is great. I also use my JVC surround sound system with my cable box for the 1080 picture and 5.1 digital, what a sight and sound experience!!
I also have a Gamecube, and the gameing experience is fantastic with this monitor.
The remote seems to have limited features, but it is workable because I use my remote for the cable box all of the time, except for adjusting picture, etc.
I have used the adjustment for the backlighting, but I don't seem to see any difference in the picture when I do, maybe someone can let me know if I am doing something wrong, or if it just doesn't really change the lighting that much.
I highly recommend this monitor. The price, picture quality, I don't think it can be beat.

Both had bad pixels!
Strengths: 1080p, price
Weaknesses: Quality and Customer Service
Summary: My LVM-37W3 arrived with several dead pixels. The internet retailer told me to go through the manufacturer for a warranty replacement. I contacted Westinghouse and sent the TV to them, and waited and waited. I called every week for a status, but this model was out of stock and no one could give me an ETA for my replacement. It took over 3 months to get the replacement, and it too had bad pixels!! No wonder their BBB rating is a D.

Strengths: best priced and featured Full HD 1080p panel on the market
high contrast and brightness
plenty of inputs
nice solid design
silent (some TV's this size have fans, none in this unit)
Weaknesses: remote signal kinda weak, but i've seen worse and not a problem at all for me
interlaced signals (ie. 480i 720i 1080i) have a slightly lower latency (motion blurring)
no tuner built in
Summary: I use this TV/Monitor as my only computer monitor at 1920x1080 progressive resolution and I'm telling you its damn beautiful. I play World of Warcraft and half-life etc. and am extremely at how my video card handels the high resolution. i use a dinky old 6600 GT. The TV is extremely bright i keep it on the next to lowest setting or i could go blind hehe. i connect up to it via DVI connector 1 and it was completely plug and play just like any other LCD monitor built for a computer. the TV's design is sleek and solid unlike the scepter 1080p model it looks really cheap. at 6ms the TV has a better response rate then my old LCD monitor and i can see no motion blur except in interlaced content which i don't have to worry about using this as a full time monitor. The picture i took does not do the TV justice to just how beautiful it actually is. if you are looking for an outrageously awesome monitor this is for you.

Strengths: Beautiful picture quality and a plethora of HD inputs
Weaknesses: 1 year warranty
Summary: 2006-10-30 19:06:57 This is a wonderful monitor, particularly as a pc or HD gaming monitor.
It takes about a week for the panel / monitor to break in, after which I truly appreciate how beautiful a picture this monitor is capable of.
Blacks are convincing, except when there's a concentrated patch of black, where image is slightly milky and lacks fine shadow detail.
As I live with this monitor, I am more and more appreciating how nice a monitor it is and what an incredible value it represents.

Strengths: 1080p,great picture quality
Weaknesses: as everyone mentioned, remote sucks
Summary: I am very pleased with my decision. Gorgeous Tv, great quality for less money. It's really easy to set-up n use plus lookin' nice! Sleek and tight I will say. I Highly recommend this product.
But..as everyone said, remote is not very reponsive, normal low resolutiuon pictures look worse and internal stereo is not that good.
Overall, I love this tv. great value for its price

Strengths: Great HDTV picture quality. Love automatic source detection. Great PC monitor. 5 HD inputs big plus. Best of all great PRICE for 1080P monitor.
Weaknesses: Standard defenition not so good. Remote not very responsive.
Summary: Best price for 1080P monitor out there. 5 HD inputs is a great convenience (1 HDMI, 2 DVI, 2 component). Awesome source selector feature. Monitor automatically detects when you power up your dvd, directv or pc and tunes in to its input. On the downside standard definition signals don't look to good on monitor and remote needs to be more responsive. But all said this monitor is a GREAT BUY.

Strengths: resolution 1921x 1080
HDMI and DVI input
Weaknesses: Romote control button does not respond very smoothly
Summary: This monitor gives really high quality picture with HD video. However, normal low resolution DVD picture look worse on this than on a regular TV.
The color seems to be a lot of blue from the manufacture settings. But adjusting the parameters is able to achieve satisfied result.
In all, a very good monitor!

Strengths: Excellent picture quality, 1080p, plethora of inputs, plenty of features.
Weaknesses: the remote - use the money you save to buy a Universal remote (like the Logitech Harmony). Speakers (but if you're watching HD you should invest in an audio system to enjoy the 5.1 Dolby)
Summary: I've had this TV/Monitor for 6 months and love it. First, 1080p means that both 720p and 1080i transmissions come out like they should with no deres. (There's a lot of confusion out there right now about 1080p being "overkill", which makes absolutely no sense b/c there is no such thing as a 1080i monitor -- only 720p monitors that deres your 1080i signals making channels like Universal HD, HDNet, Discovery HD, etc. not come out like they should.) Also, if you have cable you will never miss the TV tuner, because you are getting your broadcast television signals through the box, not over the air. Add a $120 upconverting DVD player and you have a home theater for about $1000. The picture is great and everything works -- I don't understand why anyone would pay more for a plasma or 720p set, but they are!

Strengths: Excellent picture quality, multiple hookups
Weaknesses: Still looking
Summary: This is my first LCD TV and I am convinced I made the right choice. I did a great deal of research looking for a 1080p set and this one came out on top. I'm very happy with it and I would happily recommend it to everyone.

Strengths: 1080P - 6 HD Input Connectors - Great Design
Weaknesses: so-so Remote Control
Summary: When I purchased this display, I made sure that I kept a receipt so I can return it just in case because Westinghouse is not a well-known display manufacturer. I wanted to be able to enjoy my Xbox 360 and this unit offers the capabilities for 1080p without burning through my checking account.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this display. Love it!! With the HD input from a Zenith Direct TV box via DVI, i was able to enjoy the games on ESPN HD.
I highly recommend this product but you probably need to upgrade the remote control with something better. I recommend getting a Sony remote

Strengths: 1080p, CRISP PICTURE, awesome both as a pc gaming monitor and HD tv. Paired up with a quality hd tuner and antenna= hd bliss
Weaknesses: like everyone said, the remote can be a pain.
Summary: This monitor/television is a great value due to the HD resolution of 1080P. I highly recommend it. Hook it up to some z-5500 speakers and you are set for entertainment bliss.
I can't wait for HD-DVD and bluray so i can watch DVD's in 1080P

Beware
Strengths: Great picture
Weaknesses: After only two weeks lcd screen died. I was told that they have had this problem before by tech support.
Summary: Westinghouse does not do in home repair for any tv smaller then 47". So after only have the tv for two weeks. I was told I would have to ship the tv back to them for repairs at my expense.

Beware the Quality and Service
Strengths: Good PC Resolution
Weaknesses: Quality and service
Summary: This is my second Westinghouse 1920x1080 LCD monitor/TV. My original LVM37W1 died about six weeks after the 12 month warranty had expired. I bought the latest LVM37W3 last week and that set lasted about 24 hours before going dark. Neither the retailer nor Westingohuse will replace the waranteed product without me paying for the shipment to the Westinghouse repair facility in California.
Call your local repair shops and ask if they will repair a Westinghouse. Alternatively, buy 3 sets, so you can have 2 in reserve for parts.
