Strengths: FM radio, bright vivid colorful screen (way better than ipod video).Excellent sound, This player is compatible with many more types of music than the ipod.
Weaknesses: Needs more accessories. The only thing I slightly dislike about it is the thickness. It is about the same thickness as a fourth generation 60GB ipod.
Summary: The touch buttons are very easy to use and are not extremely sensitive like other buttons on other players. The sound quality is crisp. The software it uses is some of the best I have used (better than what iriver gives you). It will rip your cd's into mp3's or WMA's and it will convert your video files into a playable format so they fit onto your player. The battery life for movies is twice as long as the ipod (four hours). Lack of a removable battery (so does the ipod video), lack of lyrics display support, can't do anything with it when docked to the PC. All in all if you just need a decent mp3 player with video and photo capabilities, then the Ipod is a fine choice. For those searching for a more feature rich player, the Zen vision: m is an excellent option.

Strengths: Excellent VGA screen
FM radio/recorder
Support all popular video formats
NonDRM
Good quality Video-Out
Long battery life
Available in 5 colors
Weaknesses: Bulkier than the ipod
Non-removable battery
Summary: I have purchased 3 of these players so far, 2 as gifts and 1 for myself. If you are not an ITune user I can honestly say that the only disadvantage the Zen Vision M has compared with the Ipod is it's size. It has far better picture quality(262,000 colors to the iPod's 65,000) and more neat features. The wired remote is also a nice add on but could get messy with all the wires hanging around. If you watch videos with subtitles like animes, the subtitles do tend to get cut off sometimes. Overall this is a player well worth your money.

Strengths: I have had an Ipod mini since two years ago and I am not satisfied with its sound quality and battery life. So I've made up my mind to buy a Creative video player. It has great sound quality !
Weaknesses: It is a little heavy to carry in my pocket.
Summary: I recommend everyone who cares about sound quality to buy this product. You won't be disappointed. What's more important to me is that, it lasts almost 10 hours. I am quite satisfied with it right now.

Strengths: Storage, Price, Appearance, Ease of Use, Light up Buttons, etc etc etc
Weaknesses: Ummmmm, I like a heftier manual. Battery life a little quicker than expected
Summary: My past mp3 player was an Iriver H20. Very glad I finally replaced it. Audio is great. Video is surprisingly great. Random shuffle option much better than the H20. Like the color options. Love the option to delete songs directly from the player. Sometimes I get so sick of a song I want it gone forever. With this, you have that option. FM radio option is always nice but I rarely use it. I'm already accustomed to the touchpad and I like this one's responsiveness and option to adjust sensitivity. This was rated as Best of Cnet 2006 for good reason. I just wish I could have purchased the green.

Strengths: dependable battery life, colorful bright screen, records FM radio, great sound
Weaknesses: few accessories, scratches easily, sometimes freezes
Summary: With 30gb of space, the Creative Zen M has plenty of room for your favorite songs, movies, music videos, and TV shows. The package comes with helpful, easy-to-use software to organize your media and convert videos if necessary. Files are quickly transferred onto the Zen--for example, it took only five minutes to add an eighty minute movie to the player.
About its appearance, the Zen is thicker than an Ipod, but it doesn’t feel uncomfortable or bulky when it's held. Unfortunately, the front of the player and screen scratch very easily. I would recommend getting an inexpensive clear skin adhesive before using the player. The touch pad was difficult to use at first, but you are able to adjust the sensitivity from low to high. Now I have no problems navigating swiftly through the menus.
Another reviewer mentioned a problem with the player docking when it’s connected to the computer. Well, it only docks when you have a program open that is accessing the Zen, such as the Creative media explorer. At other times, it is possible to listen to music while the player is charging. A concern I do have about this player is that it sometimes freezes (maybe from switching menus too quickly). Though I have heard that this issue can be resolved by the latest firmware updates.
After July 2006, the box doesn’t come with a wall charger anymore. This hasn’t been an inconvenience to me since the player can charge by usb while I’m using the computer. Even so, the Zen has an excellent battery life. I never had to worry about it running out of battery while I was watching a movie or listening to music on a long ride.
Another useful feature is the player's ability to record FM radio. So if a good song or radio show comes on, you can save up to ten minutes of it on the spot.
Finally, my favorite thing about the Zen has to be the amazing picture quality which can be seen from the demo videos and gorgeous pictures that come generously preloaded with it. The screen is very clear and vivid. It lets you feel like you’re watching TV at home, which makes the Zen perfect for when you want to bring your entertainment with you.

Strengths: Gorgeous Screen, Excellent Functionality and Compatibility
Weaknesses: A little bit funky with the design and limited gadgets and add-ons
Summary: Wow...that's all I can say with this baby. The music came out awesome on this baby. It has great features and EQ settings. The screen is amazing, especially if you watch those mini Creative Introductory Clips on it, quite gorgeous indeed. The battery last as advertise, of course the screen doesn't go off on battery saver mode unless you put it on lock, or else it just turn slightly dim. It takes pretty much every files out there, except rm/rmvb. It certainly nice not having to convert mpeg1/2 or avi to wmv format as Ipod and Zune. The only slight minor complain is when slanted at an angle, you would have a hard time seeing anything. Overall excellent quality to ratio, much better in my mind than an investment in the Ipod or Zune.

Strengths: unique color
, vivid bright screen
, not as DRM-intensive as other players
, FM radio
Weaknesses: None
Summary: The MP3 player comparisons are always controversial and people get very emotional but this player is great. It is not as DRM'd as most other players meaning you have more freedom to put YOUR music on it as you wish. The screen is awesome as most people have said, it's bright and clear. The interface is pretty good, and the blue color is unique. This is the best player I've had, if you're not a "fan" of a certain brand, check this one out.
