Strengths: Alpine reputation and materials

Summary: 2006-04-18 06:27:55 These speakers look good and sound great! You can push these with a good head unit (Alpine, of course) without major problems. I was especially impressed with the tweeters as I've never had them in a car before. These are solid speakers and worth the extra cost.

Alpine made it easy to install

Strengths: several options for easy install

Weaknesses: maybe I'm biased, but Corvette stock stereo sounded better

Summary: On a local retailers suggestion, I went w/ Alpine receiver, front, and rear speakers. After installing, questioning whether they sound better than stock Corvette (2001) equipment.

Alpine provides several things to make install easy:

- Several different mounting options for tweeters

- All the screws you'd need for most installs

- Easy to follow picture instructions

Maybe if I was an audiophile I'd recognize the quality more, but I'm challenged to get too excited.

a great pair of speakers

Strengths: durable, thick magnet, large cone

Weaknesses: none so far

Summary: These are good speakers if you are wanting some deep bass, but dont want the heavy thump of a system. I could instantly notice the difference when I got them installed. The bass is solid sounds clean, and the treble was blaring so loud I had to turn it down some, yet to mention it wasn't all the way up either. I'm impressed by the quality of these speakers and would definitely recommend them to others.
