 don't buy this piece of junk Strengths: colorful
Weaknesses: cheap chinese toy that doesn't really do anything but cause frustration.
Summary: This was given to my son for his eighth birthday. Most of the things you can build according to the instruction book don't do anything (okay - to be fair the lights do blink). Those that do more can only go backwards or forwards. This is not a "Robot" by any stretch of the imagination - you have no control over the arms or even the direction of the thing. (i.e. you can not make it turn) The gears mesh so badly that most of your limited battery power is sucked up trying to turn them - and the strain inevitabley causes the badly fitting wheels to fall off. Fitting the pieces together in the first place took adult strength. This might make a nice "sculpture" - but if your kid is interested in building something with "remote control" - buy him one of those car kits. Did anybody bother to "kid test" this before it went on sale at all the "educational toy" outlets? Here is the lesson - even "educational toys" can be a complete rip-off.
