Strengths: Multi-tasking,
Battery Life,
Media Management - very convenient,
Harman/Kardon speakers,
Easy to Use
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: Granted I am no computer expert, but this one blows my previous notebook out of the water! The Centrino Duo processor allows me to run AOL, Explorer, watch a DVD, and work on online classes all at the same time. Though that doesn't sound practical, I tried it out just to see what the Duo processor would do, and it is amazing. This notebook also comes with Windows Media Center and convenient controls to the left of the keyboard to play music, movies, etc. I've only owned it for a few days, but I am in love. Toshiba also offers extended warranties and accidental damage coverage which is great with kids in the house. There is ample space on the 100GB hard drive. I would recommend this notebook to anyone who wants great performance at an affordable price. Why pay more when you don't have to?

Strengths: doesn't come with all the junk software like HPs, CPU capable of multitasking, long battery life, everything you want in a laptop with a card reader, DVD burner, 1GB of RAM, 100GB HDD, etc.
Weaknesses: slows down while using photoshop
Summary: I am a graphic/web designer and I purchased this laptop to create websites with. I use software that requires decent processing and graphics power but I'm on a tight budget so I got this. It performs better than my HP which has an upgraded graphics card, larger hard drive and faster clock speed on the CPU. I'm very happy with it. The only issue I've had with it I caused myself by downloading a program that installed a virus on my computer. Other than that it slows down a little if I have multiple programs open and I'm trying to use photoshop. One other things is that it doesn't have a PS/2 port which is OK because it provides 4 USB 2.0 ports but you just can't use a mouse or keyboard that has a PS/2 input. I'll still give this product 5 stars based on performance.

Strengths: Great screen resolution, very good audio, light weight and quiet.
Weaknesses: Pre-installed software is limited.
Summary: The Toshiba A105-S4004 is a great notebook for a reasonable price. The processing speed is very fast, screen is great and it runs smoothly. The DVD/CD burner is also a benefit for those who like to make their own media. There are two downsides, which can be remedied rather easily. First, the operating system is XP Media, and not Professional. I prefer Professional over Media. Second, the pre-installed software is pretty limited. If you are going to do word processing with the computer, you will need to go out and buy a program, as this computer only comes with a 60 day trial for Microsoft Office.

Strengths: KEYBOARD LAYOUT; LARGE,CLEAR SCREEN; LIGHTWEIGHT; BUILT IN WIRELESS, FINGERPRINT READER
Weaknesses: SLOW WHEN USING INTERNET
Summary: I PURCHASED THIS NOTEBOOK BECAUSE I OWNED A TOSHIBA SATELLITE PREVIOUS TO THIS AND GOT A GOOD THREE YEARS OUT OF IT. THE SIZE AND SPACING OF THE KEYBOARD IS VERY COMFORTABLE FOR MY HANDS. I USE IT AT COLLEGE AND FIND IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT ENOUGH TO CARRY AROUND CAMPUS. THE FINGERPRINT READER IS A TRUE CONVENIENCE. I SAVE TIME BY NOT HAVING TO SIGN IN WITH MY PASSWORD EVERYTIME I USE IT, AND IT PREVENTS OTHERS FROM GETTING IN WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. THE BUILT IN WIRELESS IS A MUST AT SCHOOL. I CAN USE IT ANYWHERE AND NOT BE CONSTRAINED BY FINDING A CABLE HOOK UP. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS IT SEEMS THE COMPUTER WORKS SLOWER WHEN I'M ON-LINE. BUT TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST I'M NOT SURE IF THE CULPRIT IS THE COMPUTER OR CABLE.

Strengths: Centrino duo processor; 1GB RAM/100GB hard drive; CD/DVD-RW drive; Harmon/Kardon speakers; soft keyboard; dual-mode touchpad; good battery life; crisp TruBrite 15.4" screen; wireless connectivity.
Weaknesses: One-year warranty. Wish it were three-year.
Summary: I am so impressed with the quality and number of features on this laptop, for such a reasonable price! Aside from its good looks, it offers a very quick processor and plenty of RAM and storage space. The dual mode touchpad is a great feature, allowing you to just tap the pad instead of clicking, as well as vertical and horizontal scrolling, one-touch start-up of programs, etc. The screen display and speakers are very good quality also. It has great wireless connectivity with a/b/g compatibility. The battery is reliable, and the machine runs super quiet. I hope I didn't leave anything out, but the bottom line is that I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this feature-packed and affordable laptop. One more thing...I bought it retail with a $100 rebate and a no-interest financing offer, but as of today there are better prices online -- shop for the best deal!

Summary: I loved the computer. 100 gb of hard drive is awesome for a notebook. Now I have all the space and memory I need to play all my songs. The screen 15,4" its perfect to see DVDs but not too big to carry.

Strengths: Its a Toshiba notebook. Nuff said.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I haven't been using it for very long but over all I am very happy with it. The wireless network is exceptional, picking up SSID's from a quarter mile away where only 2 were visible with the old laptop.
