1 Star ReviewLooks good, works bad!
Strengths: Looks good
Weaknesses: Does NOT dry dishes at all!! Tub and dishes soaking wet after complete cycle. Cutlery basket is a joke.
Summary: I bought this dishwasher because it matched the other appliances in the series. What a HUGE mistake. I'd rather have a mismatched dishwasher that actually dried the dishes after washing. My dishes are soaking wet after the complete cycle and the tub remains wet between loads. Another complaint is the cutlery basket. You have to load the utensils handle down so when you go to unload, you have to grab the fork tines or knife blades with your fingers to get them out. How sanitary could this possibly be? Not to mention dangerous with mutiple knife blades sticking out. Also, the layout of the racks stinks! They show pictures in the manual of neatly stacked dishes but in reality, the bowls fall on top of each other so they don't clean well and the spaces for glasses is only good for certain sized glasses. Forget about mugs and large drinking cups. I wish I had my old dishwasher back; it didn't look sleek and modern but it sure did what it was supposed to do!

Strengths: Buttons are hidden so kids don't play with them. Very quiet while in use. Professional looking and very sturdy door. Just an overall elegant appliance. We will purchase LG products again.
Weaknesses: Smudges very easily.
Summary: This is our first experience with LG and are very happy so far. Our friends recommended LG because of their experience. We haven't had them very long but are very impressed so far.

3 Star ReviewLG LDF6810ST Dishwasher
Strengths: Looks great, controls on top of the door
Weaknesses: Strange smell
Summary: I bought LG dishwasher despite horrible reviews it got from other users. We were told at the store that we can return it if it doesn't meet our expectations. It looks great thanks to stainless steel finish and lack of any visible controls, which are hidden at the top of the door. I liked their location as I have small kids at home and prefer if they don't play with kitchen appliances. As far as dishwasher's performance, I have no big complaints so far. It does smell strange, but somehow it doesn't bother me. It washes dishes well, but that's a job it should do, so I am not truly impressed so far. I will update my review later if we decide to return it.

1 Star ReviewLG Dishwasher
Strengths: quiet
Weaknesses: worked for less then 2 years before needing service, does not dry the dishes well
Summary: 2007-10-08 11:26:56 I purchased this dishwasher in March of 2006 from Home Depot. It is now October of 2007 and I am getting an LE error. I am told it is more than likely a motor problem. I was also asked why I did not purchase the extended warranty. After paying almost a thousand dollars to replace a 25 year old dishwasher, that was by the way was still working I just wanted a newer style to go with my newly remodeled kitchen WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO BUY an extended warranty. I guess now I know why because this product is obviously NOT MEANT TO LAST. I have service coming to my house to LOOK at the dishwasher at $75 bucks just to come to the house. Once they figure out the problem then they will have to order the parts and then come back to fix the problem. HMMMM I wonder how much this is going to cost me. The dishwasher also does a poor job of drying the dishes. It is however very quiet especially now since ITS NOT WORKING AT ALL. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Stick with a Whirlpool they are built to last.

Strengths: Reliable, 16 place settings capacity, design
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Part of a matching line, great design. Concealed controls, tall tub. highly recomended by a consumer magazine. I would recommend shopping around for a great price although this piece has less price varIation than other pieces in the line.

1 Star Reviewmodel #LDF7810ST
Strengths: None, stopped working
Weaknesses: None, stopped working
Summary: Our model #LDF7810ST worked for four months in our new home before the LE error message came up. Seemed to work fine until then but, nobody wants a dishwasher that craps out that soon or any time for that matter. Very disappointed, especially when we bought it with the blessing from Consumer's Report. No stars for this baby!

1 Star ReviewLG should actually stand for Looks Good!
Strengths: sleek and hidden buttons
Weaknesses: didn't dry well for the first two years and it doesn't work at all
Summary: After purchasing this unit from Home Depot in July 2006, we have mostly enjoyed our choice but weren't entirely pleased with the fact that it didn't actually dry the dishes entirely by the end of the cycle. We lived with that figuring that since they recommended we use a drying agent in addition to soap and we didn't do that it was sort of our fault. (although we had never had that problem with past dishwashers) Two weeks ago the dishwasher stopped working and we received the LE error message. I called a service company who came in for $95, called the LG desk and then told me there were two service bulletins regarding door harness and another item which would cost in excess of $200 plus labor to install. He also said that he couldn't guarantee that would solve the actual problem. I am now faced with spending at least another $300 in repairs on a two year old dishwasher with no guarantee that will be it. I actually replaced a four year old white GE that didn't match our new kitchen but did actually clean and dry the dishes. What was I thinking?

I am going to have to decide whether I want to gamble with this one or purchase another one which will definitely NOT be an LG.
