DeWalt DW9116

Strengths: It does what it is supposed to.

Weaknesses: No DC charge option.

Summary: Comes with instruction. The indicator light keeps you informed, however, you do have to learn what length flash corresponds to what length dash on the charge key Morris Code table. (kind of like a map key)

Can never have too many chargers

Strengths: Tune up mode, Quick charge up

Weaknesses: None

Summary: I got a good deal on this charger, which is the reason I purchase most things. But you can never have too many chargers. The tune up mode worked well on a old battery that I have given up on. The charger will also charge a battery in 45 minutes to an hour. Which is pretty darn quick in my book. Basically its a charger and it does a great job charging but the tune up mode is the reason you purchase. If you can save one battery you saved the cost of the charger.

Weaknesses: You have to figure out what the blinking light means.

Summary: This product worked great and I would recommend it to others. The price was a bit cheaper then what the stores charge. DeWalt is a good product and I would purchase that brand again without question.

DeWalt DW9116 Battery Charger

Strengths: Fast charging, tune-up mode, works with 9.6v to 18v

Weaknesses: Blinking light for diagnostics

Summary: This battery charger works very well and charges batteries in about an hour. I have four of these chargers so I can always charge up quickly when I need to. A big positive is the tune-up mode that will condition your batteries and provide longer life. This is a valuable feature since the cost of a new battery is so high. Plus, you can leave the battery in for a long time without damage due to the trickle mode. I have both standard Dewalt batteries and XRP batteries and this charger works fine on both. One negative is the single blinking light indicator for multiple charger status conditions. I would like to see something a little more user friendly than that. Overall, this charger is an excellent value!
