Strengths: -Fantastic picture quality
-2 HDMI Connections
-Game mode is perfect for gaming
-Can easily connect to PC
-Sound isn't great but is better than any you'll see in most built-in TV stereos
Weaknesses: -Only 1 Component Input
Summary: I did a lot of research as I tried to find a 26-32 LCD HDTV set that wouldn't totally break the bank. After initially trying a 26' Sharp Aquos (good picture quality but froze several times in the course of a week), we returned the model and opted to keep on looking. 26' is a bit small on the LCD front and the difference between 26 and 32 can be immense.
After spending time reading reviews and looking at floor models, I found the 32' Samsung online at several hundred off what it was at the usual local chains we all have. The price is unbeatable for what this set gives you -- excellent PQ, which is of course first and foremost, and a lot of options. 2 HDMI connections is key -- grab an upconverting DVD player like the Oppo and you don't need to wait for HD-DVD or Blu Ray to reap the real benefits of this set.
My only gripe is the lack of more component connections -- chances are that you'll need a selector/switcher box of some kind to hook you up if you have multiple game systems, DVD players (without HDMI), etc. But that's easily remedied since Radio Shack or Walmart sells them for $20, not a big deal there.
Overall I was thrilled with this set and can't recommend it highly enough. If you do enough hunting around you'll likely find it's easily, by far, the best value in its range.

Strengths: Price, vivid color and ATSC tuner
Weaknesses: Non detachable speaker
Summary: The color is amazing and the best thing we did is to buy a TV like this with a built in ATSC tuner. We don't have cable or satellite and had average to poor reception of analog channels. Now we get almost every major channel in HD and of course that means crystal clear quality. If you have not seen HDTV, you are in for a big surprise. The color is awesome and the user interface is quite easy to follow. We've not had to look at the user manual yet which says it all! My only complaint and it is minor is that I wish the speakers were detachable. Great buy and great picture!

Strengths: Awesome video quality and doubles as a 32 inch LCD monitor for the PC.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: Did some shopping, owned a 22 inch Sharp Aquos LCD TV for my bedroom but the TV was too small so decided to go with a 32 inch LCD. I also was not impressed with my current TV's image quality. Did some shopping and looked at some other LCD TV's. Looked at the Phillips and their image quality plain sucks, Sony overpriced, the Sharp was alright but cost more than the Samsung. Came down to the Samsung and Panasonic but the design of the Samsung won out. It's sleek, doubles as a huge PC monitor, and the image quality rocks with a HDTV tuner built in. Got it for $1299 with free shipping and no tax in California from Amazon. Also I got a $150 arm mount for my TV free after rebate! It expires 7/31. Another thing I liked was if anything breaks down, a technician comes to your house. Best TV for the money.

Weaknesses: none.
Summary: The hi-def screen (720p) delivers amazing clarity when you watch HD programming. The built-in HD (ATSC) tuner means you won't have to pay for an additional tuner component to enjoy HDTV.
TV isn't the only way you can use this set—it also makes a premium computer monitor. In many cases, Samsung LCD TVs outperform conventional computer monitors in brightness, response time and resolution.
The TV comes with a full assortment of connections that let you hook up your system the way you want. Includes two high-grade HDMI connections, along with component, RF, USB and PC (RGB) connections.

Strengths: Bright, sharp and light weight
Weaknesses: Volumn is much lower when input from ANT(cable), Headphone doesn't work if input from ANT(cable). PIP is basically useless. Remote doesn't work on my Comcast STB box.
Summary: Despite so many good reviews on this TV, I have to say the dark side of it. I just got this TV last week, at that time I didn't have HD box. I only had DCT700(a regular digital box from Comcast). So I plugged the output of the digital box to the ANT(Cable) of TV. It turned out that the volume was so low, I had to turn up the volume to a big number. Later when I got the HD box, I no longer used ANT(Cable) as the input, instead I used DVI=> HDMI cable+RCA stereo audio as the input. The volume becomes normal.) There is another bug when input is ANT(Cable), your headphone won't output any sound. Actually those are not problems for most people, because if you buy this TV, you definitely want to use it to watch HD programs. So you will either use HD component or HDMI, and ANT(Cable)will be rarely used. But SAMSUNG should write those problems in the instruction manual. The TV has a rigorous restriction on PIP, I basically suspect the usability of this function. Last thing, the remote should support other devices. I was trying to make it work on my Comcast DCT6200 box, but failed eventually coz the code for Motorola STB on the manual wouldn't work on Comcast box which is a Motorola product. BTW another thing I just noticed is it actually generates a lot of heat when it's working. I've never used other brand LCD TV, but I have several LCD monitors. Apparently they are much cooler.

Decent HD Set, but decided to upgrade
Strengths: Vibrant Colors, Sound Leveler is a nice feature, 2 HDMI ports
Weaknesses: Grainy/Blocky picture, Ghosting, not 1080p, Delay when powering on, no DVI ports
Summary: 2006-10-06 13:56:03 Bought this TV at Best Buy based on the specs, the price, and the picture quality in store. I got it home and hooked it up in the bedroom to a directv hd-20 receiver. I was initially satisfied with the picture and it makes an original nintendo-esk sound when you turn it on. Sweet! The colors are vibrant, the styling simple but sleek, and it has two hdmi ports! The hd programming I received looked good, but not great and SD programming looked much better than the old 25" CRT previously in the room. I was also very excited about the sound leveler. I have a 1080p 42" Westinghouse in the living room and the sound is all over the place when changing channels or when commercials come on. It was nice to have a tv tuner that picked up local HD programming. I have to use a off-air antenna on the Westinghouse to get local programming until directv adds it to their HD package. Over the last couple weeks of owning the TV, I have become less satisfied with the set. It takes about 5 second for the TV to come on after hitting the button on the remote. Although this is inconvenient, it was not a deal breaker. What has broken the deal is that I find myself constantly playing with the settings to try and get the picture clear and consistent. The picture at times appears blocky and pixilated from the direct HD receiver even when playing HD programming (mainly when watching fast movement). I have also noticed ghosting when watching ESPN HD. Specifically, the black of the refs jerseys will drag behind him for a split second. My 42" Westinghouse is always clear and smooth looking although the colors aren't quite as bright. The other night I was running up and down the stairs to check the difference between the two sets. I wanted to make sure the difference in clarity wasn't in my head or just the size difference between the two. It isn't. The Samsung also does not have any DVI ports which I would like to use to hook up my computer. Samsung certainly has brand recognition and supposedly makes great HD lcds, however I have decided to return the Samsung and upgrade to the 37" Westinghouse. My recommendation: spend an extra $70, get a 5 inch bigger monitor and a 1080p set with 2 dvi ports and 1 hdmi. Granted there is no TV Tuner in the Westinghouse, but soon all channels will be broadcast through the HD receiver and the tuner will be obsolete. The brand name isn't everything... trust me.

Strengths: Excellent picture quality. Good set of connections including two HDMI inputs. Auto set up was simple to use.
Weaknesses: Only one component video input. PIP only works with certain combinations of inputs.
Summary: Overall I am very pleased with this HDTV. The picture quality of HD broadcasts is great. I would definitely recommend this.
I was hoping to get by without renting the HD cable box from Comcast, but for now this is the only way to get HD (they tell me in the future it will be possible to get HDTV using only the built in ATSC tuner). I have not tried over air HDTV as I can only use an indoor antenna, and am probably too far away from the transmitters.
The single component input was a problem, because the Comcast HD box does not have HDMI output, and I was using the component for DVD player. The Comcast box does have DVI output, so I will get a DVI/HDMI cable. I also just purchased an upconvert DVD player (Samsung DVDHD860) which has HDMI output. This gives a much better picture quality (not as good as HDTV though). Recommend this combination.

Strengths: Beautiful design, great menus. Picture is fabulous for dvd and HD sources.
Weaknesses: Piture is a little grainy for SD sources, but may be due to my cable box. Also, Remote is a little cluttered.
Summary: I chose this device because of the size (it needed to fit in a cabinet) and Samsung makes great LCD products. I am very happy with the purchase. This is my first HD TV, so I am still getting used to all the inputs and controls, but so far, its been great.

Mine doesn't work - not kidding!
Strengths: Worked for almost a whole week
Weaknesses: Does not work at all - Butterfly Photo will not accept return!!!
Summary: Well I don't know where to start...this has been the worst purchase of my life though, that's for sure. While I realize that my Samsung TV was just a dud and it probably is usually a very good product, I did not realize I would be stuck with a broken TV. That's right, stuck! Butterfly Photo does not accept returns on TV's...not after 15 days, 5 days, even 5 hours! And what does Samsung tell me when I call? They say they'll send someone out in a couple weeks to look at it...a couple weeks!!! I am now stuck with a broken 32-inch TV - and to make matters worse its my only TV. I asked for a replacement TV since I believe that is my right, and Samsung said that is not their policy!
Last time I buy anything online : (
Sincerely,
Miserable in Flemington

Strengths: Great picture!
Weaknesses: None that I can see so far.
Summary: 2006-06-18 16:20:16 The television appears to be very high quality. I ordered it as a gift to my mother, and I've only viewed it two times so far, but I'm very impressed. Has a great picture.

No QAM Tuner
Strengths: Nice picture
Weaknesses: No QAM Tuner
Summary: For this price its sad there is no QAM tuner. Make sure you have a roof antenna or live in the city to pick up your locals on rabbit ears or your SCREWED as far as picking up digital and HD programming. IT WON'T PICK UP DIGITAL OR HD PROGRAMMING THROUGH THE CABLE SYSTEM. If I didn't have a roof antenna I would be LIVID!

Strengths: Price - Great Price, Inputs - A lot of different inputs, 2 HDMI's is awsome.
Weaknesses: Inputs - Only one component input is not so great, PIP - doesn't give many options for this
Summary: This TV is a great buy for the money. It has two HDMI inputs which is a good feature, one for HDTV and one for the PS3, when it comes out. Th down side is that there is only one component video, which works good for my XBOX. I would recommend this for anyone that is on a budget, such as I am.
