Strengths: sturdy n spacious.
Weaknesses: lacks style - not as sleek as a backback.
Summary: I was on the look for a laptop bag when I came across a good deal on this one and grabbed it. No regrets. Its coming in handy for my travel... lots of separate compartments and padding make it sturdy and spacious. The front flap pocket is useful for keeping quick access items like pens, tickets etc. I use it as messenger but you could also convert it to a backback. Overall, a good buy.

Strengths: Targus quality (usually very good in all but their cheapest products. Plenty of storage.
Weaknesses: A bit different looking, ok if you like to be unique.
Summary: Very nice case, a bit different from the run-of-the-mill cases most people make. Very good build quality and excellent warranty, no worries with Targus. Like my last case, I'll probably get tired of it before it wears out.
Lots of storage pockets, although some are a bit small. Very good protection for the laptop. Comes with backpack straps but I think it would make an ugly backpack.

Strengths: Convertible, lot of pockets
Weaknesses: not beautiful as a backpack
Summary: This is a good notebook bag. I would like to recommend it to those who often carry laptops and a few documents. It can be used as a backpack or messenger bag. Good protection for 15.4" or less laptops. It also has plenty of pockets. All stuffs can be orgonized very nicely. But it does not have enough space for textbooks. I can only put two into it.

Good for some
Strengths: lot of storage packets
Weaknesses: bulky
Summary: 2007-12-31 10:35:16 This notebook case is good for a student who wants to carry many college items along with a laptop. Everything fits in well oragnised pouches. It works as backpak or a messenger bag. But, it is bulky when not needed.

Strengths: Portability, easy access to the compartments inside.
Weaknesses: No leather?
Summary: Nice Computer bag, this is the second that I buy from Targus. Excellent product, light, nice appearance, easy to hold, easy to access stuff you place inside, a lot of space-books, laptop, pencils and etc. will stay inside very nicely. I have no complain for this product so far. Very comfy on the shoulder.

Strengths: Pockets galore. Convertible to a backpack. Well-constructed. Nicely padded ventilated handle.
Weaknesses: Limited to 15" laptops or smaller. Possible theft issue: the Targus name will ID your bag as carrying a computer, but the stitched name is not as blatant as some.
Summary: If you carry a laptop on the train, bus, walking or riding a bike, this is a perfect bag. Provides easy access for train passes, my iPod and and other stuff without having to open the main flap (which has a heavy-duty clasp). The headphone port and removable CD/DVD case are nice touches. The zippered magnetically-sealed outside pen/cell phone pocket keeps stuff from falling out. Can also be carried like a typical laptop briefcase.

Strengths: tons of storage space, well constructed, fits large laptops.
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: I think this is an awesome case. I would recommend it to anyone. It had so many more pockets than other cases. It is also expandable, so even more room. You could use this as a laptop case, as well as for a backpack at the same time. It is really well made and looks very sturdy. Great bag. I got it cheap too. Highly recommend it!

Strengths: Versatile.
Weaknesses: None at this moment.
Summary: I am a recent owner of the Targus Notebook case. Ive wanted a Targus back to go with my laptop after seeing the quality of a bag my girlfriend had. This bag is stylish enough that I can use it to carry my laptop in and out of the office during business trips. Its convertibility into a back pack is also very useful especially when walking down the streets of NYC. Rather than usually having a bag slung from one shoulder, I can have an equal weight distribution. Great bag and great buy.

Functional Notebook Bag
Strengths: Versatile
Weaknesses: Cheap-looking Materials
Summary: This bag can go from a carrying case to a messenger bag (strap included) to a backpack (by attaching two straps hidden in a zippered compartment). Along with the multitude of compartments, one might say it tries to be too functional at the expense of a clean style and look. There are seams everywhere holding all the pieces of material together. But in the end, the important thing, of course, is that it can fit a 15.4" notebook computer nicely in a padded slot.

Strengths: The best in its class
Weaknesses: Can't find any
Summary: I will use it to carry almost everything I need when I fly. I will carry my Laptop, my Cameras, my MP3 player and all batteries I need for all items above. I will carry also, passport, family pictures, boarding pass and all what I need on flight and allowed. I LIKE it.

Strengths: good quality
Weaknesses: a little heavy
Summary: I bought this Targus notebook bag for my thinkpad T60 laptop and it is a perfect fit. The bag gives the necessary protection for my laptop and there is enough space for other accessories such as mouse, power adapter, cd discs, mp3 and pens. Especially, I like the convertible function. When I am travelling, I can convert this case to a backpack, which is good for long walk. The quality from Targus is always great, with the low price, this is really a bargain.

Strengths: solid, roomy, organized
Weaknesses: not for so far
Summary: 2008-07-01 15:16:14 I brought this bag for my friend as a gift and he is very happy with it. Actually, he was looking for a nice laptop case for a while. This one is just what he wants!
The bag is very nice and styled for both a casual and business look. Although it said to be for 15.4' laptop, it's very roomy and I even believe it could fit for 17' well enough (I didn't try one but when I put my 15' laptop in, there is still more then 2' space left). Also if you do have lots of things like PSP, MP3, cell, camera, PDA, flash drives, CDs, pens, etc., there are many separate pockets which will make you very organized. There are also some folders for files which will make things much easier for you. And if you do have lots of stuffs, just unzip the convertible zip and you will get more room!
Although I think it's a little bit heavy for me to carry around, considering its other features it's definitely not a problem at all!
Over all, it's a fabulous bag! Will highly recommended!
