Summary: I purchased this 26” model without having seen it in person and was a bit surprised when it arrived because having a flat screen, it looked smaller than the 27” tube TV I’d been used to. However the more rectangular format is great for watching most shows especially letterbox type movies. It’s a great looking model with clean lines and speakers below the screen rather than on the sides like some space-age looking models that sit on a pedestal which makes them somewhat unstable and a hazard to small children. The picture is clean and clear and the color needed no adjustment. It was easy to set up considering I am not very technically adept. The only problem I have encountered is that since it is hooked up through my cable system there are times when I must use two remotes – one to turn it on, change the station and control the sound, and a second remote to change the size of the screen – there are several choices – so I tend to keep it in the wide format which sometimes cuts off the top of someone’s head. Finally, although it has a flat screen it is still a tube TV and I’ve read some reviews that complain about the bulk and weight of it, but since I keep my TV at an angle in a corner of the room it is not a problem for me nor do I intend to move it from room to room so the weight is not an issue either.
