Automatically adjusts to shutter speed, hence no edge artifacts. It takes 2 AA batteries. Take better indoor picture than others. Weaknesses: Lens cover doubles as a switch. Menu is a bit awkward Summary: Regular AA's can go quickly. Just get a charger and a few NiMH batteries and you're set. This camera is so easy to take good picture. I was amazed at some of the shots that my wife took. For a non techie as herself, the camera is worth every penny we paid for. Summary: This is a great little camera with a solid shell. It has high enough resolution for 8x11 enlargements and sufficient optical zoom (3x) for normal use. Pics come out fairly nice. xD cards are a bit expensive than Flash. Camera is pocketable and has a nice solid feel. Overall good value but average performance.
