Strengths: Silver case looks nice, push buttons feel like a good quality button, not cheap, comes with Li-ion batter, and extras.
Weaknesses: Screen looked a little blurry between lines and round curves on a high quality rental movie appeared stair stepped. Kawasaki 8.4" was superior and had none of the problems mentioned above.
Summary: I thought Polaroid was a mark of quality, but there are better choices out there. If I'd rank this player it would be a 6 on a scale from 1-10 on picture quality. 10 is high. Kawasaki 8.4" would be a 9-10. There is a noticeable picture quality difference. Audio on the Polaroid was not impressive, although I thought the location of the speakers would produce better audio quality, but was not impressed, when compared to the Kawasaki 8.4". Polaroid's Audio was 7 and Kawasaki's was 9, even thought the speakers were not facing the viewer. I would not buy this Polaroid since there is a better choice for the same price. I'll be returning the Polaroid.
