Strengths: Very quiet plus all the usual benefits of front loaders. Weaknesses: Purchased in early Jan 07 and no weaknesses discovered yet. Summary: I've been researching washers & dryers for about a month before I finally made the purchase. My old Kenmore of 15 years was down to the Normal cycle only and the matching Dryer sounded like a freight train. It was finally time for an upgrade. I did a lot of research and at the end of it all I found the Frigidaire to offer the best value. It seemed that what really drove the price is the size of the drum. Once I decided on size I looked at features and then price. I thought some of the difference in prices would be attributable to a better warranty. That's not the case. In fact, it was diffcult to find a unit with more than a 1 year warranty. After the Holidays I decided to go with the Frigidaire and I love this new washer. It has a 3.5 CU Ft capacity, similar to my old Kenmore and more than adequate for a family of four. It is very quiet and a pleasure to do laundry. The inside drum is stainless steel and has a light on a timer so you can see what you're doing and if you missed something. The control panel is very simple to use and operate. Just rotate the large knob to the desired setting and then select other options with the push of a button. Very simple to learn and use. Check out the Frigidaire website as well. Less function such as "rinse only" than other washers Summary: I did a lot of searches on the web before I bought this washer together with a AEQ7000 dryer. There were almost no complaints about this washer. I bought it with a sale price and my wife loves it. It a really nice washer that meets your every need. It has great choices for cycle needs and water temperature. The front load option makes it easy to move clothes from the washer to the dryer.
