Strengths: remote, sound, look, 2 year warranty, removeable faceplate
Weaknesses: too many adjustments (if that is possible)
Summary: The only other review is spot on but for someone who does not the working end of a stereo, this unit looks good and sounds good. I am learning how to use the unit slowly and even though it has more bells and whistles than Iknow what to do with its a great unit. It is a little more pricey than your usual car stereo but if you want to have a unit to grow into ie ipod compataiblity, serius compatabality, the extra dollars is worth it.

Strengths: Built in crossover. Dedicated sub-outs. Cool looking. Easy to install. So many features.
Weaknesses: Hard to balance the built-in crossover, but that may be my fault. OEL screens, to few of them, and when you want to upload more into the unit, you have to delete others.
Summary: Where to start. Pioneer always has very good head units. To me they are the best, judging by the features that are included in the unit. OEL screen has cool looking graphics, even thought its all blue. I think they make a more expensive model that has color, but I did not buy this until for the OEL. Sub-outs, are my thing. I put the unit in, connect the patch cables, and amp line, and I have some serious bass. It does have other outs for connecting component speakers to an amp, but why would you do that when the sound coming out of the head unit would suffice? But have good component speakers, I have kickers that replaced the stock speakers in my vehicle. What else, hmmm...Great sound, nice. I like the reminder that when one turns off the ignition, it reminds you to take the face of the unit off and take it with you; although, the way the face comes off took a little used to getting to. One has to press a button, on the bottom/back of the face, and then pull the unit off. I guess they did this because they didn't have room on the face to put the cd insert on the face. The cd insert is hidden behind the face, one pushes the eject button, and the face motors down, revealing the cd input.

The controls for the sound, are complex and I am still tweaking them everytime I get into my vehicle. You have a bass level, but then you can adjust the level of the subs by frequency adjustment +6 through -6, and 50Hz through 125Hz, which is the High Pass Filter.

The manual is pretty straight forward, not too bad, some stuff makes you scratch your head when you read it, if you are not in front of the unit while it is working.

This a Premier Unit, so there is a 2 year warranty, which is awesome, and it cost one about 20 dollars more than a m6800mp unit, and I think that Premier's have a better quality control too.

All in all, very good unit, I recommend.
